Yaoi-con 2011

Oct 25, 2011 00:49

Got back from San Fran today, and after doing laundry, cleaning up cat puke, and vacuuming the house, I got a chance to play with the photos I took. There are less this year from lack of motivation on my part and the fact that no one in our group did official cosplay: Yaoi-con 2011 Photos

And here is the Yaoi-con wrap up. )

A comprehensive review...that's what I like to see :) Thanks for keeping me company as I sat up till ungodly hours watching Dustin and Kalli arrive. That was fun <3

Yay you went to the Ask the Gay Boys panel. Was so hoping someone would.

I needs to now go check out your pics. Someone else should have been talking everyone into cosplay in my stead *nods*

Watch Tiger & Bunny!

Aww the marriage proposal was so cute. Wish I'd been there to see it.

Think Nik will post about her trip? I'm curious to what the hell happened.

Missed everyone this year lots and lots *hugs tight*

Heh, I'm pretty certain that I'm missing a LOT of details, but you know how con is--so much is happening that it's hard to remember everything. And happy to have chatted with you! Sorry again about the texting mix up, but that gets expensive quick, and with the FB messenger app on my phone, it's basically like free texting ( ... )

Isn't that SUV amazing?? That owner really went all of the way, and more importantly, made it look really good instead of using cheap decals that could peal off. When we saw the license plate, that sealed the deal of awesomeness.

Haha, I didn't know that Steph was thinking of getting a corset until she showed up in one. I think the one she chose was a good fit for her. And considering all of the randomness that happened to Neko's boobies during the weekend, you doing raspberries to Steph's wouldn't have been too surprising. ;)

I'm in love with the Tangled people! I think that was the best movie I've seen in a long time. :) Also, the Squall/Laguna peeps were awesome!

Glad you made it home okay and had a good time. :)

Aren't the Tangled pair great? Flynn was a gem with his random expressions, too. I wish that he had a wanted poster to glare at. And yes, it was fun chatting with the FF8 pair. The Laguna mentioned being at Fanime, I believe, and how there was a piano. Anytime a girl was playing something, he'd try to limp up there and lean on the piano. :D

Definitely a good time! It's sad that things are probably changing for next year with Yaoi-con being bought and potentially moved to LA. A few people in our group are talking about doing NDK instead, so that will be interesting if it happens. I may have a houseful of fangirls next year!

Totes! ^.^ One of many reasons it'll be sad if Yaoi-con indeed goes to LA--we won't have you around to show us the good eating and shopping spots to try out! It'll be even worse if you can't go... but trying not to think about that right now. Instead, rewatched that "Why are you filming me" parody and enjoyed it greatly.

*wistful* I sooo hope I can come next year! (and that they haven't moved to LA!)

I hope you can make it, too! It was so much fun hanging out with you last year, even though you were tricked into going to H&K. *laugh*

But yeah, it'll largely depend on the situation for Yaoi-con. I lived in Irvine (just outside of LA) for a year and hated it, so I'm not anxious to go back. I hope enough people complain to make DMI rethink moving it to LA. It's not impossible to plan a convention from a different location. The only thing that has to happen in San Fran is the con and a few extra days of planning. The rest can be easily done at their home base. *grumble, grumble*
