One Wrong Step, Chapter 7

Sep 20, 2011 18:54

Wow, has it really been three months since the last update? This summer has flown by, which is fairly surprising given the numerous headaches. Let's hope the rest of the year doesn't go as quickly since I really want to finish OWS before that happens! Speaking of which...

Woo! I actually more or less enjoy the gaps between updates--that way it's always a happy surprise when there's a new chapter!. XD Also your chapters are so long that I can see why updates take so long and it's always worth the wait. If I'm ever in need of something to read, I usually just re-read something (usually whatever you're currently working on since my memory is terrible and I forget what was going on XD). So yay!

Here's hoping you get a new job! (I'm a terrible commenter but I've been following your fight with this current job. ): )

I didn't know about your sister (and therefore not why you haven't spoken to her) but it's kinda strange how emotions work when it comes to family. I have a lot of weird relationships in mine and there are people I don't particularly like in my family, but sometimes you can't get rid of the love you have for them, even if you don't want it. It can be frustrating! Haha. <3 (:

Haha, you're way too kind to look on the bright side of my lags between posts. And if it makes you feel any better, I have to reread my own chapters to remember everything, too. There are too many little details for me to keep straight, and I think that's why I do the longer chapters--to give me an extra chance to get everything right! *laugh ( ... )

I almost conveniently skipped this update because the previous update was on 20th as well. And YES, I am totally psyched for this long awaited chapter. *drools* Thank you for making my day~

Also, hopefully you would be able to get some time off for Yaoi-Con, after all you really deserve a good break and some fun after all the crappy-ness this year!

And surely someday, your sister would realize how much you love her. It's great to be able to think of someone no matter how long you have stopped talking to each other instead of drifting apart and forgetting eventually. Somehow, it keeps you strangely comforted at times, at least that is how it works for me. :)

But most importantly, stay cheery and healthy always! And if possible, STRESSFREE! 8D *pats*

Haha, I'll admit to kind of timing it that way. I gave Aera as much of a chance as I could, but I knew I wanted to post an update before the month had passed since the last post. I hope you enjoy the chapter ( ... )

woot! this chapter was amazing. i'm having a lot of fun seeing squall slowly succumb to seifer. :) as much as all of this bad voodoo going around sucks i still find myself enjoying how it's playing out. i'm a pretty big sucker for thrillers so the extra development coming in with the kids is exciting.

once again i hope things go good for you and thanks for the chapter! :D

Phew, glad that you liked the chapter! It's always nerve-wracking to post without the stamp of approval by both betas.

Haha, Squall can't resist Seifer forever. It's impossible, especially when Seifer does something as scary as submit a logical reason as to why Squall should bend over and love it. ;) And yes, can't resist plot stuff in addition to romancing. While I love thrillers, too, I don't think I could ever match the skill of pulling off something... well, thrilling, I guess. *laugh*

Let's hope the next update doesn't take as long! Granted, it looks like another big one, but hey, I have 10k words already written, so that should count for something? ^^;

When I was a kid and fighting with my sister, my grandma always said, "you don't have to like her but you'll always love her." Makes sense to me. :) At least she has your info in case of an emergency, though it's always better for your peace of mind to have hers.

I admit I'm still waiting for you to finish this one entirely before I start reading because I adore this kind of plot and I'm excited to see what you're doing with it.

I was planning on going to Y-con, but losing my job crapped all over that dream. I may still stop in as my mom lives pretty close, but we'll see where life is. I hope you get to make it!

Haha, that's definitely a true statement when it comes to family. I don't know, it's just weird to think of my sister after all of these years and know that she isn't in the home I associate to her. I guess knowing where she was made me feel better. Now... Well, I really, really hope that if she ever needs help, that she knows she can come to me and our parents.

*laugh* Your patience is admirable. Hopefully you can finally read this thing before the end of the year! We'll see how these last couple of chapters/epilogue go. When I sit and write, I can actually hammer out 500-1000 words in a short period, but man, I feel so antsy and unfocused these days.

Sad to hear it. A couple of friends aren't making it this year, either, and it'll be really sad without Gnome and Zalia around. I haven't gone a year without them yet! Still, I'm excited to see my other friends, and Yaoi Con always is a blast. I'm definitely ready for a good time far away from work and Colorado for a handful of days.

That's how I used to feel about my mom when I didn't live with her as a child. I definitely understand. :) I hope she reaches out to you before she needs help, but family dynamics are what they are. :(

Is that because of the job stress, or is something else going on?

Gnome isn't going?! That's too bad, and surprising! But it does look like she has a lot going on, what a bummer though.

As for Glee, I've only seen up through half of Season 2. I watched the first season on Netflix and fell in love with Kurt's relationship with his dad. The Lady Gaga bit where his dad stood up to him with Finn had me in tears, so I made my sister watch the series and she's beyond obsessed now. She dragged me to the Glee 3D movie, heh. I don't have cable but my sister has the second season on DVD now so I'm excited to catch up!

Eh, I have a lot of stuff going against me these days and nothing really going for me, so yeah, I'm just feeling beaten down. Hopefully my mood will change once things start fitting back into place, but yeah....

Yup, Gnome had a family trip and other things happening that limited her funds, so she won't be there this year. Hopefully next year, though.

Isn't Kurt's dad the best character?? He's understanding, but also a father who isn't perfect, and I really love that about him. Haha, too funny about your sister getting hooked and going beyond you. I think that's my favorite part about getting people into random TV series. I'm something like a plague amongst my friends when it comes to getting them hooked on things.... although that's probably because I watch WAY too much TV. :D

*laugh* "Glee" is totally my bad candy. I mostly like it for the music and Jane Lynch, but that whole Kurt saga stole my heart last season. I just hope they don't do something funky with Kurt and Blaine this season to make it all angsty and change it from the sweet-loving thing it is now.
