More excuses...

Ugh, I wish I had a new chapter done and ready to post, but life has been conspiring against me. I have about 12,000 words done and I think that's about three-fourths of the way to finished. I want to end the chapter on a happy note, so I hope you all can bear with me. I'll do my best to get it done and have it to the betas by next week.

Holy crap. :( That is awesome that no one blamed you, though. The company sounds great! Hopefully that will keep up. ;)

I didn't know there was so much involved to be a CPA. You'll be fine, though. :)

That was pretty much my reaction when I learned that I wasn't doing, in all technicality, my job for an entire month. And yes, I really respect my managers right now for them to take full responsibility. I left my last real job because my manager took no responsibility, so this definitely reaffirms my decision to change careers ( ... )

Considering I've not had much work drama as of late (so far so good with that one couple of days) things have been good.
I mean, it was stressful to not have a job and to have to try to find another when the other didn't work out.
I'm thinking i'll be with this job for a while, which is pretty awesome.

After this y-con i'll be seeing if i'm just going to travel and visit other countries or if i'll keep going back to y-con.

*grins* I could always use some SxS lovin' to cheer me up. I particularly like how Seifer is the one snuggling and Squall is letting him. ;) And thanks for the words of confidence! I hope I manage to finish that chapter soon to pay everyone back for the support.

Sounds like a hellish schedule, but you will do fine! :D All the best for your job and I hope that 'employee of the month' is actually real, you deserve it! XD Hehe, take your time with the stories and most importantly take care of yourself!

Oh, I definitely think that I'll survive the next several months... maybe... but I'm going to be grumbling the whole way. One of these days, I'll learn how to sit and write like a real author, and not play games online.

*laugh* I still don't think the employee of the month title is real, but the recognition certainly is. And I really love that my managers were willing to take the blame for what went wrong. It makes me feel good about working there.

Yaoi Con: You and me both, girl. I'm in my senior year of a double major taking two years of Japanese at one time. If I am still in both levels of Japanese by Yaoi Con, you and I should set a "homework date" and just sit in a quiet place doing homework. We can encourage each other to get it done, ha ha.

I feel very lucky to get into this company, and while the money doesn't impress me much, I think I'll find a lot of support from the people here. For instances, I'll have to work a year under a CPA to officially get my license and I think they would make that happen for me ( ... )

I totally vote for the hot butler/handyman. That sounds like a great oneshot - Seifer the handyman coming to help out Squall after responding to an ad!

I'm sure however you write it will flow fine and draw in every reader who stalks you anyway. :P

Yeah, I'm the "mom" so if I say "leave me alone" or "be quiet," they'll do it. If I need to go to sleep, they are kicked out until THEY are ready to go to sleep. Easier at the last hotel - two separate rooms, even if it was a thin partition.

My last laptop had like... 30 minutes of battery. I've got 2.5 hrs ish on this one. I'm going to buy a second battery as soon as it is available. If you need a ton of life and basic use, just go for a little netbook for travel.

Definitely - who needs a man/lover to ruin things when I could just hire a man to take care of my daily needs... well, at least the legal ones. ;) As for the technically illegal ones, that is always my answer to the question of what I'd do if I'm told I have three months to live - hire a hot and experienced escort with the rest of my life savings ( ... )
