Huh. I didn't realise it was *suppressed*, per se, just that noe one really did it much. I have been to a traditional Latin Mass--I didn't realise before I went to it that it was so much time of just kneeling there doing nothing and watching the priest's back. Boring! What I'd really love is to have a modern-format Mass, but in Latin.
