OH MY LOVE, WHAT HAVE YOU DONE TO ME!? There was emotion, SO MUCH EMOTION and sexy and SOMEHOW it made it perfect and I totally sympathize for Wash but at the same time I totally dont cuz she's about to have mad sex with Miles. SO I DON'T REALLY FEEL ALL THAT BAD FOR HER.

However she doesn't place and that was heart wrenching BUT THEN MILES WAS ALL 'OH BITCH, LOOK AT ME. I'M SECOND BEST BUT I CAN DELIVER!' oh it was awesome. So so so so awesome and I love it. I loved that it was a little sad but it works out for her for a little while at least and I loved that Miles could see through her façade and i loved that he followed her and then toyed with her and made her want to stop looking in and and GUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUH!

It's been a while since I've read a Wash/Miles fic and this was just the perfect one to start with. I loved everything about it. The way Miles sees through Wash and her well meaning attempts to please. She's young here and I love how Miles knows this and also his certainty that this phase will pass. And sooner rather than later if he has anything to do with it. Second best is still placing, yes. Definitely. But I hardly consider Miles second best and I love the idea that she'll see this soon enough on her own. He's cocky enough to know it himself already. He's just giving her time. And I love her and Miles together in this point in her life than I would her and Nathaniel. The way I see it, she can truly be herself, won't have to play up to anyone's idea of her (even Nathaniel's since that's what he wants to see at this point in time) and won't be judged for it. Hell, Miles would encourage it.

Your writing is amazing! Can't wait for more of your Wash/Miles fics.
