I don't have a picture at the time of my original Lt. Zechs Merquise costume (there was one on Fans View, but the site is down at the time...). But I can tell you some of the things that were in the original costume that I fixed later on:
-a cheap wig
-trim on the coat made of yellow tape
-cloth leggings above my shoes (rather than full length boots)
