Somebody just give me something, like a prompt - a place, an object, a type of person, character(s) ( Read more... )

In the spirit of silliness,

A unicorn wearing a trihorn hat. Somehow.

This kind of trihorn hat?

It's really sad that I actually came up with a way to put that in and have it make sense, almost instantly. Helps that my story is urban fantasy.

That's the exact hat I was imagining!

I can't wait to see how this would fit in :)

It was either the piratey looking one or the feathery embroidered Commodore Norrington hat. XD

I might post excerpts just to see if it sounds interesting enough to people to bother putting on fp.com; I'll put up that one if I do. :D

(don't mind me, I'm just a fan who is normally too shy to say anything at all!)

How about, your character is leaving work/home, and the lights shut off. They are (or so they think) the only person there.
Or... they get a Dear John letter from someone? Or an inanimate object?
One of my favorites is "it's actually raining cats and dogs! what happens?"

hopefully I could be of some help. ^^;

One of my brother's friends was having trouble one year so he had someone get beat to death with a shovel. And now every year in his NaNo novel he works it in somehow just because.

But I totally understand how you feel. Except I'm like 10,000 words behind you. Ha. *facepalm*

I seem to have the same sort of thing with a reoccurring theme...although it always ends up being that two dudes are vaguely gay for each other. And my MC this year is actually straight FOR ONCE.

I have a ton of scenes I need to write and could write and know what needs to happen...but for some reason I'm just like, "nah. dun wanna."

Vaguely gay for each other. Bahaha. Something about that sentence made me laugh a little more than was probably necessary.

I'm totally in the "nah. dun wanna" boat, too. Yay, company!
