Status update

So, I figured I'd give a brief little update on the status of things and of upcoming things, and my schedule for those things.

the rest of October:I'm gonna try and finish up the last chunk of that Skigraphia chapter. It's the shortest (meaning like 10k) so I think this is feasible. Then it'll go to beta, be combined with the other chunk I already

I think you might be able to put things up on smashwords as pay whatever you want, so the reader can decide how much. Maybe that would take the pressure off of you deciding how much your writing is worth?

I'm kind of adverse to pay-what-you-want things, and mostly it's because of how I react to those kinds of stories - which is to completely avoid them. Because I want to read the story, but I'm poor. Me personally would rather have people reading my stuff than getting money for it, but I'm pretty sure that's not what other authors have in mind. So I feel like an asshole getting a story 'for free', when basically, it isn't for free. It's like a bizarre guilt-trip that I hate, and so any pay-what-you want story, I will basically never read. I know most people probably don't react like this to them, but it makes me not want to create a situation that I hate with my own work.

Wow, sounds like you've got your work cut out for you!!!

(and yes, you can put things up on Smashwords and give the story away for free. When it asks you to list a price 'free' is an option along with guilt-tripping 'let the reader decide' ^^)

I think, if I do Smashwords, I'll put a price, but just a supremely cheap one

I'm excited to do the sequel! Last year I just got a bad start to NaNo because of a stomach bug and couldn't keep up, so this year I'll actually be able to get a better start. ;)
