OH. MY. #FFFFFF. ING. GOD.

I'msosickofthischapterIcanbarelyhandleitttttttttt.

Also I would like everyone to know that the "book" following this one (last in the series) is 36,000+ words. I keep jumping over to write it instead of Nocturne.

light and shadow series, updates, novel - nocturne, chapter

..and things happen. LOL

Feel sorry for Law.

Hard to comment on happenings because nothing is really resolved in this. It's wait he told them everything? they actually withdrew? Why? What next? It's the fallout of this chapter that should be interesting. Finding out if theres more to her easy withdrawal, if Law will do anything, what Alan does next, How Keyd feels or at least reacts cause he'll surely see Alan as a traitor.

It's interesting; I really like your world.

You've put a lot into this, the characters and world building is well drawn and I'm guessing the overall word-count for the books will be impressive too. It might be worth self-publishing or even looking into small print-on-demand publishers, the sales wont equal the effort because the story is available online but people do like print copies of books, I'm one of them :) and it's something you can say you've achieved.

Yes, things did!

Law wasn't actually meant to be this big or sympathetic(?) of a character originally, his role got reworked and I think it worked better this way. Especially since people seem to find him interesting and feel sorry for him.

Nothing ever seems to get fully resolved in this series, does it? Hah. Things from the first novel are still not tied up yet. The results of this are going to go on for a while, too, so resolution isn't going to come fast (if really at all).

Thanks a lot, I'm glad you do. I probably ended up putting more effort into this than I should have, since they were for fun (like everything I write for fp is) but world-building is probably my favorite activity ever, so I don't even mind. I've been semi-building another one for this year's NaNo alongside the one for L&S, which keeps me busy, if nothing else.

If I even did self-publish, I'd definitely need to do a lot of work on these. Essentially, they're all still rough drafts.
