Yay update! Once again, this was a great chapter. My only issue was that there was a mention of Keyd's bejji in this chapter and I don't remember it being introduced before in the rewrite. But maybe I just need to reread the last chapter...

It did get introduced in the last chapter, but since it's been like five months since that update it's probably easy to forget. This chapter and last chapter take place right after each other so reading them together works best.

Oh Alan, I love your voice and the way your personality just shines through. :)

Love all the details and how very awkward and strange things appear to be, looking through Alan's eyes. This chapter definitely feels more well-polished compared to the original (which I vaguely remember).

What year is this story taking place?

I'm really glad of that! Definitely what I'm aiming for with these rewrites, so I'm super glad all of that comes across. :)

Technically it's taking place in 2008. That's the year all the dates match up to (ie. the last year Halloween night was on a Friday), but it could really be any time in the past five or so years. :)
