[ooc: Slade was a PIRATE during the flood. Sadly, I never got around to posting, but feel free to have your character remember seeing Jack Sparrow one around if you want.]

Myself, I can agree with some points brought up, but I'm not going to join in - if they ever do carry it out, that is. It seems like the inmates may not be getting this off the ground so to speak; a shame, it'd be interesting to watch unfold.

Indeed. While rallying up their aggravations is a tactic that has worked on some occasions, it's not enough to sustain a riot that would change anything notable. The mere motivation of anger isn't good enough unless the majority actually has a goal that they are set on carrying out.
Had they weeded out those who would snitch and focused on the change they want to make other than just getting ready for violence, I think it may have had more of a chance - still not a good chance, but better of one.
They also forgot their audience. This isn't a mob of ignorant townspeople ready to pick up their torches and pitchforks at the drop of a hat.
Overall, they were too impatient. If a revolt ever does succeed, it'll take long-term planning and preparation. Posting inflammatory remarks every other day isn't exactly helpful if there's no clear vision.

Yes. Add the fact that some inmates seem as if they don't care about getting off this Barge, or changing anything. The only ones that would join in, with this time of provocation alone, are significantly reduced - only those who crave senseless violence would jump at the chance of this riot.
Even if a long-term planned revolt were to take place, there is still the worry of the Wardens - however disorganized they are - finding out. They found out about the riot quickly; a true revolt would have to be kept strictly among those who are trustworthy and would want change enough to commit to a solid plan.

I take it these things happen often. Do we make port often, too, or is it mainly these "floods"?

I'm curious about your take on it.

Some don't care either way, but others are more inclined to snitch than contribute. It'll fail, even if it does get off the ground.

It bears consideration.
Maybe next time someone more capable will take the reigns.
