Or whatever. Excuses, excuses. I was busy. I hung out with squeakymonkey all afternoon and evening. We watched the Dollhouse pilot (an exceptional pilot, actually, and I don't know why they didn't just air that one) and then went to the East End to grab a bite. Hollywood was there (because he works there and stuff) and he was his usual sweet self. Muz also ( Read more... )

dollhouse, social engineering, status report, tv, where the hell were you last night?

I HATE the social awkwardness of standing around and sort of waiting for a break in someone else's conversation to say hello. Then if you get sick of waiting, it looks even more awkward to walk away. I am therefor a fan of the nod, the casual wave, or the chin lift, which the recipient can then respond to or follow up on if s/he so chooses. Or, y'know, not saying hello at all, which I think is a solid strategy.

I need to get me the Dollhouse DVDs so I can watch the pilot and the other unaired episode... Although starting pretty soon here, television will be back on the air with a vengeance, and how will I ever keep up?!

You won't. Just understand and accept that now. (I'm trying.) ;)

I keep remembering all the shows that I haven't watched yet that I want to see.... like Oz, NewsRadio, UK Life on Mars (WHICH I'VE GOT IN THE HOUSE! and have had, for almost 2 years, waiting for me to watch it), 3 seasons of Torchwood, Big Love, Rhoda, Generation Kill... guh. It's too much. It's making me not want to watch TV at all.

On the other hand, Glee actually happens tomorrow night, and then Thursday's the premiere of the Vampire Diaries and the return of Supernatural... so all my high-mindedness is for naught.

Lovely post. I must ask though, que color did you paint your nails? ;) I'm currently rocking a Big-Bird yellow. It's taking some getting used to. Take care :)

Black! (inspired, I confess, by Uhura in New Star Trek. We have similar skin tones and i thought "well, it's been a while." That's the one color I usually have painted my nails for the last several years...)

I am trying to think about WHEN after the 15th Ringside would work for you? *I* will be too broke otherwise. Happy hour is 3-6PM daily, or 8:30 PM to close.

Karaoke looks like a go.

Yesterday was VERY NICE. Someday I will just pick up that thing that dare not speak its name and it will be normal.

Oh good! I had a good time too - I'll check the dossier and pick a night; looks like Tuesday or Friday are best for leaving the house. Goddamn TV.

Er, it doesn't have to be happy hour, because nice bourbon/whiskey won't be cheap whatever time it is, but the food is very nice and quite a bit cheaper at HH.
