You mean the one that's playing right now, or some other one? Because if we're talking the Who currently airing, then you can jack it from the Internet with surprising ease.

The one that's beginning now, and the one that just ended this year. I think that Chris Eccleston was only on for a little less than a year.

Acquiring video online is a little more complicated than it seems - I need to upgrade my operating system before I can use most of the torrent programs, and I still really don't have very much disk space... and I don't have a DVD-R so I can't download, burn, dump, and move on to the next one... yeah, it's a drag.

Of course if there are any volunteers who happen to attend computer-heavy schools...

Or volunteers who have friends who are giant Dr. Who fags. I'm seeing him on Friday, we'll see what can be done.

I loved Christopher Eccleston (Lancashire lad!! Yay!!) as the Doctor. I'm not what you'd call a Doctor Who freak, but I just *had* to watch that series. It was great. I don't remember him in Withnail & I though. I'm sorry if you already know this part, but Paul McGann was the Doctor in a film version in 1996. Previously he was Marwood in Withnail. I love that film! From what I can gather Richard E Grant was considered to take over from Christopher at the same time that David Tennant was... Another Withnail connection :oD

Confused facts... corrected entry.

I wish I had easy access to DR. WHO here! It's not shown here anywhere at all! (as far as I know... and on obscure digital cable channels doesn't really count).

i have 10 of the eccleston ones on .avi format (straight from computer, which NONE of the computers or DVD players that i have access to can play), or the first 6 on DVD+R (which plays on my DVD-RAM/DVD-R player. mystery!

we watched them this weekend, whilst recording the DVD+Rs to VHS for a friend here in town who also can't get the .avis to work. if you want the .avi versions, i can re-open your next box and ship them out tout de suite, if you can't get them local-like, i am happy to plant my butt in front of the vids for another 6x42 minutes and record them onto some tapes for ya. just let me know.

bbc confirms that mr. eccleston is already gone. if you ~really really~ can't get any of the other super-necessary things, i can't promise anything of course, but i went to college a guy with whom you can name-drop, possibly for dark horse stuff. he's widely-regarded as a foremost knowledgable person, so he has STUFF. et cetera.
