So, I was on call for Federal jury duty for the last 2 weeks. I had to start calling on Sunday the 23rd. I was called down on the 24th and since it was Federal, it was an hour and a half trip by public transportation to downtown Brooklyn. I was only called down one day because it was before the holiday weekend. Tuesday I didn't have to go in but

Omg...good for you for using your birthday to get out of jury duty! It wasn't my birthday that got me out of jury duty as much as it was the age I became on my birthday. *shrugs* As long as I didn't have to make that trip to Brooklyn I was happy!

Oh I didn’t word it right! The transition in age mid-jury duty process to the age one is allowed to exempt probably doesn’t happen often. 😆❤️ I just used having to care for my five year old as my exemption. 🥰

No, I don't suppose it happens very often. For federal you have to call for 2 weeks, so it might happen more often than the state.
