Roy wouldn't be so much of a challenge if it was warmer out but at 14 degrees, it makes it so much more of a challenge getting him in and out.

Merry Christmas, belatedly. This is the first year I've heard of the seven fishes. Italian, no? I like the thought of a "fast" day Christmas Day and feast day Christmas Day.

Still loving your Tara icon to the right. The way it fades on the right is so mysterious.

Merry Christmas, belatedly, to you too.

Yes, it is Italian. Years ago Christmas Eve was a no meat day, if you were Roman Catholic. We are not Italian but I love the tradition and my family loves seafood.

The seven fishes are usually served in a tradition salad, that is made with lots of love and lots of symbolism. Here is a youtube video showing how to make the salad.

The Tara icon was inspired by a friend on FB, who does local community theater, and the studio who did her head shot did that fade thing with a B/W head shot. I thought it was eye catching and dd it with a pop of color.
