He gets out in book two - part of the problem with making him too nasty is that I want to make him the protagonist of the second book, which doesn't work if he's someone you don't want to read about.

Not to mention, sometimes there isn't justice. Sometimes the only way to get out of your situation is to put someone else into it, with all the questionable morality that brings.

I may try to find some middle ground when I edit.

Good story. Agree with loveandspies though. Brian just doesn't seem... nasty enough to be trapped there. One of the bosses however... :-)
