Yeah, that is my main obstacle, too; there are a lot of places I want to travel, but roundtrip airfare is absolute MURDER. *sigh* Whatever you do, I'm sure it will be a good decision; it's not like any of those options are negative at all. :)
If you have to choose and you can swing the money, I'd pick B.
Getting to see the Dalai Lama would be really cool, indeed, but A is primarily a gratification of what self wants, while B is an opportunity to put compassion into practice.
Ideally, both would be best, because each will feed your soul in different ways.
I would love to do both, but I am not sure if I could swing it. The trip to the Philippines can be financed with student loans. So, I am working on getting them. I need them any way to take the one class I need to in order to graduate next spring.
