Day #1 plan

As of this moment, I get the keys to my/our new apartment/townhouse on Wednesday, June 24th. At this point, I have some stuff packed, but I do feel like I have quite a ways to go. I haven't touched the kitchen. The "other room" is a mess, but I think it's further along than it looks at the moment. I am alternating between feeling completely

I think you should provide food to your movers.

This is definitely on my mind! I am probably going to come by around lunch time and I'll either pick up pizza on the way, or I'll pre-make a casserole and have my mom throw it in the oven. I haven't decided yet. Maybe one of those for dinner and the other for lunch, though. Hm.

Really? You have to provide food to the movers? I always give them water. That's it. I had no idea.

Water & Iced Tea for professionals. Must feed family. :-P Although, I have heard of people feeding professional movers if they are there over meal-times. Happy Movers = Not Broken Stuff. :-P

- A lamp if there is no ceiling light

If you want to be really nice, leave a roll of TP behind for the next people moving into your old place. Not everyone remembers!

There won't be anyone moving in right away, and I don't feel like giving my annoying, unyielding landlord the luxury. :-P
