I'm going to take some drum lessons. My G'mother won them for me. Yay.

You should take both so you can learn to accompany yourself. :) I have such issues doing both at once. Though I'm not especially coordinated so maybe it's just me.

You need to make a post about how people win drum lessons and about the drum lessons themselves (who/what/where/when)!

Being able to accompany myself would be awesome.

Before I answer, can you elaborate a bit more? Do you have a particular goal? What would you work on?

I guess that's the problem. I don't really have answers to those questions. I have taken both kinds of lessons in the past and still sing/play piano on occasion. I'd like to be better at both, but I don't know if I have the dedication to focus on both at once. At the moment, I have "#48 - Learn one song on the piano by heart." on my 101things in 1,001 days list. But I can do that without taking lessons, really.

You don't have any piano songs memorized? Can you play heart & soul?

Nothing impressive. :-P I'd like to be able to sit down in public and play something and not embarrass myself. :-P

If you can afford it, take both :) Never lose your music! I'm already kicking myself for not keeping up my saxophone playing.
