I don't get a lot of new music, so I turned to educational podcasts to keep me entertained during my daily commute. They're great! I learn a lot of stuff I never would have otherwise (mostly history).

Wil Wheaton was interviewed for a Geek Cred podcast.
And he also recommends
60 Second Science Podcasts

I tend to go for longer stuff. My favorites are:
12 Byzantine Rulers
- A history of the Byzantine Empire.
History of the International System
- Recorded lectures from a Stanford class on the history of geopolitics in the 20th century.
Philosophy: The Classics
- A book on tape with synopses and analyses of classic philosophy texts
And I'm currently listening to
Economics 113: American Economic History
- Recorded lectures from a class at UC Berkeley

I haven't really found any podcasts that tickle my fancy. I much prefer music to listening to people talk about things.

I really liked Benjamen Walker. And then he stopped making podcasts. His were the best. The others I listen to are...okay.
