001 : ???

[The feed turns on, the SFC on its side on the ground. The feed is extremely distorted, lines running through the screen and the sound occasionally cutting out. A tall, dark figure in a black suit is standing a few feet away from the camera. When the feed gets clear enough, there are glimpses of long, spindly arms hanging on either side of the man' ( Read more... )

[Snake's first use of the SFC, and it involves... something.

Something that the snakes do not like.

They all stay utterly silent, and Snake watches the feed patiently to see what else happens, if anything.]

video to action if that's okay? c: tentaclearms April 15 2011, 21:17:22 UTC
[The feed, which is still extremely distorted, shows a white face staring into it. Is ... something happening to the camera?]

[Is that a mask of some sort? Snake frowns all the harder as he stares into the SFC.

Whatever's happening, it's making his companions fidgety, and he quietly sends them off to guard the rest of the Phantomhive estate, leaving only the vipers Goethe and Wilde around his shoulders.

Maybe he can ask someone throughout the city if they know what's going on, and so he starts to move past the garden of the manor.]

YAY :D action it is ~ c: tentaclearms April 15 2011, 22:59:51 UTC
[While Snake is walking past the garden, Slenderman appears. Out of nowhere. He's next to some trees, practically morphing into them, but only halfway.

That's right. He's watching you.]

[While Snake doesn't spot the entity immediately, he does rather quickly realize something is off. Goethe and Wilde are scratching their scales together in that trademark sizzling noise, and he looks around-

Only to leap back in alarm when he spots the figure blending into the trees. It's not human, that is for certain... But is it a harmless creature like the talking mouse? Or dangerous like the dinosaurs?

Snake tests the waters.]

What is your business here?

[There is no answer. His head jerks to the side, examining the man not too far away from him. He seems to glitch, like a computer, before a third arm (tentacle?) slowly moves from his back.]

[The brother-snakes are practically screaming at him, now- run run run run! Flee!

Snake's leg jerks back, but in that split second he realizes he can't lead this thing to the manor, where it might hurt Ciel. He needs to draw it away.

So he turns back the way he was going, sprinting as fast as he possibly can towards the rest of the city- towards that ship he's seen on some occasion.]

[That was probably the worst possible idea. Running is something that the Operator is used to, and it's so much easier to capture his victims that way.

In a matter of seconds, Slenderman is as tall as one of the trees around him in front of Snake, looming over him.]

[The sudden appearance and change of height has Snake skidding to a halt, eyes wide. He can't take his eyes off of this thing, it seems.

Still staring and with fear going through his veins, Snake tries to keep a cool head, running backwards now. It would be hard for anyone not used to bizarre circus work, or two other 'heads' that keep an eye on his surroundings for him.]

[Another mistake. Running backwards is usually not a good idea, but it's especially not a good idea when Slenderman's around. Though his movement is slower than usual; more stiff, because Snake is watching him, he makes up for it by using one of his tentacles to slowly but surely make it's way towards Snake.]

[When he feels he's gotten enough distance, Snake comes to a stop, eyes narrowed. If he can't immediately escape...

He watches the tentacle, and Wilde slithers down his arm, quivering but obedient as always while he hangs there.]

[His 'arm' stops, as if caught in place. While being watched, the best that Slenderman can do is move extremely slowly. So for now, he'll tilt his head, as if egging Snake on. A blink of the eye is all he needs.]

Now we just need tea! Does Slendy take hearts in his? saythesnakes April 16 2011, 01:05:18 UTC
[For now, at least, that blink won't come. Snake fits his name rather well, after all, although he can't manage such a thing forever.

Unfortunately, the strangeness of Slenderman keeps him cautious and doing nothing. Finally, he starts to edge towards the gate leading out into the street, heart beating hard in his chest.]

yes! :D tentaclearms April 16 2011, 01:08:29 UTC
[Slenderman's head follows him, he hasn't decided whether to follow him or just continue watching from a distance. No matter where Snake goes, he can't hide from him.

So, very, very slowly, he begins to retract his tentacle-like arm.]

[When Snake is finally at the gate, he finally blinks as he rushes through it, sprinting down the street.]

[It was times like these where Slenderman questioned a human's capacity to understand danger when they saw it.

So, not far but not close, Slenderman trails behind and around Snake, waiting for a time to pounce.]
