Seriously. All that New Orleans really needs for a celebration is for someone to note that it's Tuesday, and they have drag queens. I can't imagine the party going on in the city right now.

but on a less squee-like note, I agree with this beautifully written post. I am absolutely STOKED that this happened. your (you and the rest of my NOLA friends that I met through Gerald) enthusiasm was too catching for me to ignore, and boy am I glad I got caught up in it. :)

It's for everyone in this country and the world. New Orleans has always thrived on people coming to visit and the spirit that has passed to them. You're as much a part of it as I am.

The NOLA police chief said that crime has gone way down since the Saints started winning. Everyone has been trying for years how to combat crime in NOLA. Who knew?
