All right. Despite the sprialling pink hearts whirling inside my house according to Genesis, I am preparing to go to the upper plate once more. Yue and I travelled up briefly to get a look at the place.
The conclusion is that it's going to be a dangerous expidition. There are at least three Genesis copies up there - two with long arms and one with a gunblade. There are also several Can-Toi skittering about. There looks like there might be a person there, but all I saw was the gleam of blue eyes in the shop windows. As I was coming back down, I saw a man wearing a large, pryamid-shaped helmet. Yue tells me that that one is extremely dangerous. The eye of the Crimson King is on many of the surfaces, and various unidentified monsters were prowling around. They were all very hungry.
There is a food store intact. I don't doubt that all the perishables are gone or rotted, but there might be some non-perishables in there. That's where I saw the thing with blue eyes. There's a clothing store as well, and that looked uninhabited, but I can't say for certain. No doubt there will be something in there. There's also a Materia shop, so it may be worth while seeing if we can find a Barrier or Cure Materia.
My suggestion is that we only go to the Materia shop if we can. The clothing shop, for cold-weather gear, is the most important, since we seem to have enough food to get by on. After we scavange the gear, I suggest we move to the food shop.
I will bring an Obsidian dagger for half of the group to arm themselves. Again, it might prove useless, but I Alaneo said they would be invaluable come winter, so it's better to be safe than sorry. All of you must bring your own weapons. Potions too, if you can.
