Ahhh, so nostalgic! And lol, so incredibly anime! Makes sense, though - the anime style is more accessible, when you think about it. It's fun to see how much your art has changed.

Hahaha yes! The dragons, at least, always looked passable, but then again, I was drawing those since I was, like, 7! While I'd only just started drawing (anime-ish) people a year before those pictures was taken.

To be fair, your proportions are still incredibly awesome for high school scribbles! And it's all totally recognisable. A lot of people can't even manage that! Though I think a lot more of it comes down to practice than people give credit.
It's really true. I did 90 second gesture drawings for 10 minutes every day for a week and there was a marked improvement in my art, which was kind of nuts. Neil Gaiman pretty much sums it up rather aptly.
