Gosh, forget about finishing 13th cycle; I could Quick Battle/Labyrinth Mode with Onion Knight all day now that I have his brave-HP attacks.

In which Ten gushes about Onion Knight and some changed gameplay mechanics. Yep, sounds like a Ten post, alright. )

The only thing you can take out of the Labyrinth are the items with a little tent icon next to them - and even those you can only take with you if you exit through a door or take the escape when you've got a geomancer item active. So if you party wipe, those are gone too.

And yeah, if you pitch a tent, you have to fight your way back to the tent to collect the items within. Typically I've never bothered, as taking the path to get back there I usually gather more items anyway, and the lure of exploring other paths was more worthwhile than picking up old items.

In short, Labyrinth is a giant pain, and it's worth it only for one or two of the armour/weapon sets which are pretty much the best in the game and totally sweet and only available in the Labyrinth. And for completionism, too, if you suffer that like I do. :|

LOOKS LIKE I'LL BE SUFFERING THROUGH IT except I suppose it's less suffering and more "hey I get to play Onion Knight even more and not deal 1 damage every hit despite >9x boosters because I don't have gear better than level 1+ items" which is what happens when I try to fight ghost moogle battles :C

I suppose it's not too bad since I have a few tent icon gear now, but I think I'm only saying this because I haven't lost yet.

Some of the requirements to open doors are really )B| though. Trying to finish an enemy off with a 1.5x Grounded booster active to unlock a door is hard with Onion Knight when every single attack (including Blade Torrent!) other than Firaga counts as having him in the air ;; I'm not looking forward to some of the other door opening requirements :C

Haha, well, when you manage to fill up your party and have an assist it's a little easier not to get wiped out, if things start to look hairy you can cut and run while you still have a party member spare.

Yeah, especially later when you have the 'mystery' doors. You might struggle with Onion Knight for some that require bravery break in the first 30 seconds though. But he's good for the ones that require winning without getting hit - not even a bravery attack! :| Unforgiving.

When you mentioned bravery break in 30 seconds, I thought, "Bravery break in first 30 seconds? No problem, Smiting Sou-- oh wait, labyrinth mode. In that case, Iron Gian-- oh wait, labyrinth mode. How about ridiculous booster-- DAMMIT."
