GACKT in "YELLOW FRIED CHICKENz" World Tour : Full live-report for the 20th & 21th July in Paris !

Well, as you may know, I'm a little bit tired. Of course, doing such event requested me a lot of strenght, but I'm used now to how GACKT lives are since last year, and I know how to spend my kiai well. I've to admit that I've given my all to the 2nd concert from the two who was performed in Paris. About my health, well, right now, I'm a little bit tired, but compared to last year, I'm healthly, so you don't have to worry about that, really. Behind the cut, you will have a full long live-report of my experience with the two concerts, and about how I was before the concert itself. It may contains spoilers, so be warned if you click to read what's behind the cut ! ^_^

Well, everything started when I woke up the morning of the 19th July 2011, at around 4 : 00 AM. I was so tired, but I knew that I had to wake up in order to see and to live what I have to live, it means go to Paris and see GACKT and his band two times in two days.
First, the weather wasn’t good in my city, but when I was arrived in Paris, trust me that it was even worse. I needed to wait for my friend Marina to arrive to the train station Paris Gare de Lyon to bring her to the venue because she didn’t really used Paris subway before. I’ve then at the exit of the subway met an another friend, and we was going to our respective hotels. But of course, EVERYTHING was under the heavy rain of Paris, when I was arrived at the hotel, I was so wet, and a sponge, it was so damn horrible ...
Well then, after the hotel, I was waiting in the opposite of the street where the BATACLAN was, because it was a place where some of my friends who was sleeping here where protected against the rain. Thanks, the rain started to stop a little bit while we was standing here ! ^^
Well, I was standing here for 6 hours long without really moving until I came toa restaurant with other friends to spend the night and then go to sleep for tomorow. Those who was there understood quite well that we wasn’t sleeping outside, and it was really nice of them.

Sooo, the second I’m in Paris, it means the 20th of July, as I said to those who was sleeping here, I planned to arrive at around 8:30 AM to queue and to be in the first row. Yeah, of course, the weather wasn’t that well, but the mood was still at his maximum because of what we was waiting for. The first day, I’ve the met wonderfull ryuik , and this, even if I didn’t recognized her at first. She was really kind with me, and she is kind obviously !
Well, we was all chatting together when a guy from the BATACLAN staff arrived with something in his hand. Well, he displayed the name GACKT in front of the venue, at the top. But a few hours after, he had to add « Yellow Fried Chicken » because the staff requested it. But once again, he had to edit with the little « z » at the end because they wanted it to be perfect ! xD
The staff is of course already arrived and was transporting the sutff in the venue. It was apparently a lot of work, but thanks that the rain wasn’t really here anymore, because that would have been troublesome. A camera was here to get fans impressions while they are waiting, but it was quick, really quick, I didn’t had the time to leave something because I wasn’t in the right corner of the queue.
It’s now the time to talk about more serious thing. The bus arrived at around 2:40 PM and had some trouble to be in position for the arrivals of the musicians. When he managed to be in the right position, the door started to open, but only some staff was going out of i tat the begining, nothing more. A cameraman was preparing his camera for filming, and soon after that, the first who was coming out of the bus was YOU, and then Takumi, U:ZO, Shinya, Chachamaru, but also JON and almost at the same time GACKT, with his special hat that he seems to really love. But with a big surprise, you have the woman who appear on the Yellow Fried Chickenz blog called Anis, who is a staff member. I wasn’t expecing to see her going out from the musician’s bus ! ^^
Then, after this moment, we started again to wait a lot more, because we was able to enter to the venue at around 7:00 PM, so no matter the rain and my feets who hurts, we had to stay strong. So, finally, we started to enter. The suciryt guards was checking our bags if there was bottles of water and others, but compared to last year in Paris, they was much more kind and nice with us. Arriving inside the venue, I start to sit in the first row, waiting a lot more before the concert start. Apparently, the concert started one hour after we entered. From where I was, I was able to see where the goods was sold, and from where I was, the posters was ... HUGE ! O_o
As I said on Twitter, there wasn’t a lot of tickets sold, between 600 or 700 with a capacity of 1500 for the whole venue. It’s not that much, but it’s not only a few too. There wasn’t any promotion posters outside, no medias reported this event and others, so it’s not that bad. So we noticed that there wasn’t that much people, but it’s maybe better like that because we was less compressed each others. The first thing who attracted my eyes was at the center of the stage. Last year, the little red stage in the center was small and only for him. Now, it’s so much bigger that all the members (All the 6) can stand on it ! <3
Sooo, this live-report is now over, thanks for ... what, he’s not finished ? =P Hahahaha ! xD
Well, while was waiting, the GACKT secretary started to talk again. Unfortunatly, for those who was here last year, it was exactly the same speech, nothing less, nothing more. We was all shouting OSU together while he was talking, and during these moments, the cameraman was filming us shouting YFC & OSU!. All of this given us some energy for concert who will start really really soon.
So, the concert starts with the same music as last year, and the members arrive one after the others. For those who are wondering, yes, YOU and CHACHAMARU are still at the same place as before, they didn’t moved at all. On the center of the stage, at the left, you had Jon, and at the right, you had of course our dear G. Behind YOU, you had U:ZO, and behind Chachamaru, you had Takumi.
There will be less pictures starting from now because it wasn’t allowed to take pictures inside the venue itself. I will use the pictures of BARKS website to illustrate my words from now. More than that, I will also write for both dates, explaining wich detail is from wich date, because it was two same concert, but at the same time not the same ones ! ;)
The concert start with a melody we really don’t know, but now, we know that it’s his upcoming THE END OF THE DAY song. It’s a weird feeling to hear a song in live that you’ve never heard before. But the problem is that the first date, the 20th, there was a sound problem, it means that we wasn’t really able to hear AT ALL the singers, it means both GACKT and JON. It was improved a little when the concert was continuing of course. The second day, the 21th didn’t had this problem AT ALL, they noticed the problem and corrected it.
The song was incredibly awesome, I really can’t wait to hear it when i twill be released in September. It was suprising to see two singers at the same time for a GACKT concert, I’ve to admit it. Jon’s voice, what about it ? Well, his voice fits PERFECTLY the songs, new ones or the old ones. Talking about the songs, here is a BETA setlist from my memory , soi t might contains order mistakes :

About Jon’s voice and when he sing on stage now. Well, it’s indeed not GACKT replica’s voice, but it’s SO much better than all the videos of him released on Youtube. GACKT have most probably told him to work with his voice on a certain level to not make the same kind of work than he’s doing in his own band. About if he have his own personal songs ... no, he will always sing at the same amount of lyrics than GACKT. Sometimes, it’s him who sing a part and G who tease us, and vice-versa. An example, during Uncontrol, he was singing some backup vocals that GACKT usually don’t do.
Seriously, the first concert was truly awesome. Discovering the new band like that, it’s just ... woah, it’s impressive. Talking about YOU, he was energic, he often asked me/us to scream, again and again, and also pretended with his hand on his ear that he don’t hear anything. The eye contact I had with him many times was so priceless, and more than that, I was able to really touch his guitar. If I wanted it, I could have touched it and make him playing weird things, so you can imagine.
Like last year, I got eye contact with GACKT, but this time, it was less, because I had also some of them with JON. The reason is that this time, because they are two singers, they are not staying in the center, it was surprising at first to see Jon singing in front of of me and GACKT at the oppostive. GACKT can move to the left and JON to the right, without any reasons, but it makes more fans happy because they move a lot, so everyone can enjoy them. I was sad to notice that the new members excepted JON stay most of the time not that much exposed, it means they don’t move a lot during the concert, I was kinda sad of that, but they still came to us a little after all !
During the « hot » new song, GACKT & JON was making a weird and funny choregraphy in the center of the stage, but I’ve managed to hear a bit of the lyrics, and knowing that they both finish shirtless, we can understand why. They sing :
« Take me Take, I’m so hot ! »
Well, the end of the sentence is maybe « so hard » or others, but be sure it’s not an innocent song. It’s one of my favourites of the concert with all the new songs, mostly because of the choregraphy, but also because of how the song looks like, you want to dance just like him, the crowd was moving from the left to the right, I was also moving with them, you can’t resist ! <3
GACKT and Jon singed the song Episode.0 and at this moment, I was so ... woah, happy and moved, because even if it was hard for the first day, the 20th, to hear them singing, the instruments behind was more rock, so even if it doesn’t give the same feeling that the original one (mystic area, etc), that it was an awesome version he given us, I really loved that. I singed all along them, it was a really awesome experience to hear him live with the song. JON didn’t destroyed the song, all the contrary, don’t be worried to those who will attempt to the concerts in other cities.
How can I do a live-report for this even without talking about VANILLA ??? It’s impossible !
Vanilla have been promised to us last year when the crowd was shouting « Vanilla Vanilla ! » at many concerts during the Europe Tour 2010, and he then promised to do it next time, what he done with this year. Hearing Vanilla was ... woah, and two times because I’ve attempted to both concerts in Paris !!!! <3 The way GACKT is dancing during Vanilla, well, I’m a guy, but I will say that his dance was incredibly awesome with your own eyes, less ridiculous, because you want to move like him, it’s so ... entertaining !
During the moment when you hear a little « ca va ? » in Vanilla, Jon was shouting « FUCK ME ! », it was so woah that I’ve screamed from all my soul. And more than that, during the end when they move their ass together on the other lives, here, they are all the six musicians and singers coming to the concert to move their ass while the song continue, I love that moment, it’s so well done ! <3
The fanservice was also a pure good moments. For example, GACKT is behind Jon and move his ass with Jon, but they are against each others, it means that there is no space between GACKT’s magnum and what you know of Jon ... ^___^
What more can I say ... well, it’s the eye contact with GACKT. He truly noticed me once again, because when he’s headbanging during Speed Master, he saw that I was doing the same with the same rythm, and while he was doing this, he was looking at me and smiled (with of course a terrific smile, because it was Speed Master ! xD) lol
Let’s make a little pleasure to all pervert girls : A friend of me noticed it because she was a girl, but he wasn’t wearing any underwears according to how « this » was moving, and I approve that because I looked at it by pure curiosity, hahaha, don’t know for Jon btw ... ^^’
The fact that YOU was telling us to yell even more than what we was doing, it was a pure pleasure, I was looking at him and shouting so much. He was so nice with those who came here to him and to the band, he really enjoyed that, and me too.
The concerts ended with two magnificent ballads, who each begins if I remember well with GACKT who sing without any instruments, like Flower in Paris last year. Jon was standing at his side, and was making the mimic of the lyrics with a face full of sorrow, or something like that. It was of course for the lyrics of the song, but still. The blue lights and the intro, both in english, was so beautifull. I can remember of a part of the lyrics, here they are. Please understand that I can make some mistakes of course, because it’s all with my poor memory (both in english and japanese) :
« You are ... the reason that fills me. You are the meaning that gives me all. Anatagaki ta, kara ! »
I don’t know for the part in Japanese, but for sure it’s the continuation of the begining in english. You also have the second beautifull balad where we was singing (for those who knew the lyrics from the first concert) the « Close your eyes ! Feel your soul ! All your love, SHOW YOUR HEART ! », the concert finished with that, but of course, it was not the end. The band was changing his clothes for the ENCORE with Uncontrol of course !
Nothing really important to say on this song, it’s always the same, excepted that Jon sing too now. But the major differences are :
First concert : All the band was wearing special kimono/yukata , GACKT include, it was really good to see them in these clothes, but for girls, no shirtless GACKT ! ^^
Second concert : The band arrived all shirtless excepted YOU, he was wearing a tour shirt that he removed the same way GACKT was doing it during Lu:Na last year, excepted that it was a shirt, so it was wilder !
The concert ended, but he have promised to be back here again, with the same sentences like last year of course, I would have loved an another sentence, but after such concert, I can’t blame him. The funniest thing came during the second concert at this moment. When GACKT usually say « Do you want me to be back here again ? », when he started to say « Do you want me », the girls screamed immediatly after the « me », so Jon was laughing, but G noticed him and said to the fans « no no no no ... » while he was laughing, and making the « no » sign with his hand, he loved that, for sure ! xD
Okay, the concert finally ended. At the end, one of the musicians is staying with us a little bit longer than the others to make us shouting even more. For the first concert, it was YOU, and the second one, it was Chachamaru. I was so sad that the same time because I knew that after the second concert, they will not come back soon ... T_T
So, after the first concert, I walked really fast to the goods store behind us, and taken all the goods I wanted, and this, despite the lack of money I had at this moment (Thanks Thomas S. for the help, I won’t forget my promise to you ! ^_^).
I’ve taken then the photobook, the face towel, the two posters (Thanks again Thomas ! ^^), The wristband, they key holder (he’s really big and beautifull), the badge set, and the bag to carry all of this with me. All these goods are so gorgeous, especially the photobook, woah, those pictures, you will not necessary understand me if you don’t go to a concert, but I had the feeling to be in the concerts I’ve attempted with some pictures, a really good work. Look by yourself ! :)
Come the moment where the band was supposed to go out of the venue. Will they go out from the entrance door or from nowhere like last year ???

The concert ended, I had to leave Paris, but I will keep precious memories of these two days, because this version of the band is even more awesome than the previous one, at the end, GACKT didn’t had a bad idea to hire them for his YFC band ! :)

The fact that YOU was telling us to yell even more than what we was doing, it was a pure pleasure, I was looking at him and shouting so much. He was so nice with those who came here to him and to the band, he really enjoyed that, and me too.
The concerts ended with two magnificent ballads, who each begins if I remember well with GACKT who sing without any instruments, like Flower in Paris last year. Jon was standing at his side, and was making the mimic of the lyrics with a face full of sorrow, or something like that. It was of course for the lyrics of the song, but still. The blue lights and the intro, both in english, was so beautifull. I can remember of a part of the lyrics, here they are. Please understand that I can make some mistakes of course, because it’s all with my poor memory (both in english and japanese) :
« You are ... the reason that fills me. You are the meaning that gives me all. Anatagaki ta, kara ! »
I don’t know for the part in Japanese, but for sure it’s the continuation of the begining in english. You also have the second beautifull balad where we was singing (for those who knew the lyrics from the first concert) the « Close your eyes ! Feel your soul ! All your love, SHOW YOUR HEART ! », the concert finished with that, but of course, it was not the end. The band was changing his clothes for the ENCORE with Uncontrol of course !
Nothing really important to say on this song, it’s always the same, excepted that Jon sing too now. But the major differences are :
First concert : All the band was wearing special kimono/yukata , GACKT include, it was really good to see them in these clothes, but for girls, no shirtless GACKT ! ^^
Second concert : The band arrived all shirtless excepted YOU, he was wearing a tour shirt that he removed the same way GACKT was doing it during Lu:Na last year, excepted that it was a shirt, so it was wilder !
The concert ended, but he have promised to be back here again, with the same sentences like last year of course, I would have loved an another sentence, but after such concert, I can’t blame him. The funniest thing came during the second concert at this moment. When GACKT usually say « Do you want me to be back here again ? », when he started to say « Do you want me », the girls screamed immediatly after the « me », so Jon was laughing, but G noticed him and said to the fans « no no no no ... » while he was laughing, and making the « no » sign with his hand, he loved that, for sure ! xD
Okay, the concert finally ended. At the end, one of the musicians is staying with us a little bit longer than the others to make us shouting even more. For the first concert, it was YOU, and the second one, it was Chachamaru. I was so sad that the same time because I knew that after the second concert, they will not come back soon ... T_T
So, after the first concert, I walked really fast to the goods store behind us, and taken all the goods I wanted, and this, despite the lack of money I had at this moment (Thanks Thomas S. for the help, I won’t forget my promise to you ! ^_^).
I’ve taken then the photobook, the face towel, the two posters (Thanks again Thomas ! ^^), The wristband, they key holder (he’s really big and beautifull), the badge set, and the bag to carry all of this with me. All these goods are so gorgeous, especially the photobook, woah, those pictures, you will not necessary understand me if you don’t go to a concert, but I had the feeling to be in the concerts I’ve attempted with some pictures, a really good work. Look by yourself ! :)
Come the moment where the band was supposed to go out of the venue. Will they go out from the entrance door or from nowhere like last year ???

The concert ended, I had to leave Paris, but I will keep precious memories of these two days, because this version of the band is even more awesome than the previous one, at the end, GACKT didn’t had a bad idea to hire them for his YFC band ! :)
