CHAPTER 30
-STAGE II-
I kissed her
Damn. Sho thought. It was frustrating how Jun casually told them about it. He couldn't do anything especially if it's something that already happened so he just ended throwing nasty looks at their youngest member. But when Jun told them how she reacted, Sho was so relieved that he ended up laughing maniacally making Jun raised his eyebrow to him. He knew that his heart won't be able to take it if Jun and her would actually end up in bed, worse, he might as well kill their DoS member.
But when he remembered something, Sho felt down. "Tadaima" he sighed heavily before turning the knob.
"Okaeri Sho," it was his mother who greeted him. "How was the tour?"
"Okaasan, I didn't came there to have a vacation.."
"I know son, but you seemed more tired than usual.. something happened?" his mother asked him worriedly.
But before he could respond, Mai come down the stairs running. "Okaeri Oniichan! Omiyage?"
"Too loud Mai," placing a hand on his ears. "Its in the car, you could take it out if you want."
"Hey, what's with that gloomy aura oniichan?" Mai patted his shoulder before going out. "I will take my share later, I have a date."
"Now that is new, my sister? A date?" Sho laughed but it didn't reach his eyes. "I thought you're a lesbian."
" Oniichan, look at yourself, you looked like a zombie, I think you should rest instead of bothering me." Mai looked back and smirked at him. "but I think you're right, my date is with a girl." and continued walking.
"eh? maji?!" Sho widened his eyes and turned to his mother, "Okaasan! Shouldn't you talk sense with that lady? "
"Hey, what's wrong with you Sho? Are you sure you're okay?" his mom stare in disbelief.
"Demo okaasan! Before we know it, she'll end up like those she ought not to be!"
"Mai will go shopping with a girl who happens to be a friend, there's nothing bad about that," his mother told him, "Mou~ I think she's right, you need some rest to clear your mind."
"I see that you're back already." He heard his father said.
"Tousan" Sho bowed his head slightly.
"Sho," Sakurai-san nodded in response. "How is it going?"
"Just the usual dad, nothing new.." he felt his throat gone dry seeing his dad, and remembering what happened once again.
"Oh I see, you better rest. We'll be busy tomorrow." His father informed him before ascending the stairs.
Sho wanted to ask why but since he's really tired, he let it go for a while. "Jya~ okaasan, I'll be in my room if something came up."
+++++++++++++
"Mai, I think its not a very nice idea if I go there." Shi looked troubled. After hours of going and entering every mall around the area, they decided to kill time at a nearby café.
"Oh! But dad specifically asked for your presence with your kids,, since he wanted to apologize to you as well.." Mai shifted her elbow on the coffee table and took a sip on her frappe.
"But I have work until 3pm." Shi protested but Mai was very insistent.
"Please? Besides, the event will start at 7pm, so you'll have more time to prepare, but I doubt if you need it, and even if you need it, it's okay to be late." Mai smiled at her, her eyes glittering.
"What do you mean?" Shi had to raise an eyebrow with the compliment.
"Oh dear, has anyone told you that you're stunningly pretty?" Mai giggled. "If none, then I'm telling you, you're someone who doesn't need a make-up to make yourself pretty unlike those ladies whom my baka-niichan had dated."
"Ah! I almost forgot that you had an older brother."
"Hai. Unfortunately." Mai pretended to be ungrateful. She didn't want Shi to know about her brother, at least not yet. Not that she's ashamed that her brother is an idol, but Mai is sick of those ladies befriending her because she was Sakurai Sho's sister. "And he's a complete dork! Mou- why are we talking about him anyway?"
"Eh? you're the one who included him in the conversation," Shi chuckled. She sensed that Mai's hiding something, but as what she always tell to her kids, if someone doesn't want to tell you something, it doesn't mean that they don't trust you, so she just let it pass.
"Ah! Is that so? Haha" Mai laughed nervously. "So, you're coming right? Right?"
"Fine. You owe me this one Mai." Shi smirked and finished her drink.
++++++++++++++
"Otousan!" Sho yelled furiously at his father who was not making sense at the moment. They were currently having dinner. Shu and Mai sat and eat silently, watching the two men argued. Oh, what a good way to start a conversation..and its at dinner..He thought gripping his chopsticks tightly to the point of breaking.
"My words are final Sho, you'll go at tomorrow's event and find yourself a suitable woman. If not, I'll be the one who'll pick for you. Surely you don't want that right?"
"Demo otousan! You know the drill-"
"Cut the crap Sho, who cares about that drill? You're a Sakurai. As long as you're a part of this family, you'll follow the rules." His father told him.
"Otousan, I have to work tomorrow." He reasoned out.
"I know the routine Sho. Don't give me lame excuses. Your concert tour had just finished, and they had given you atleast 2days of rest." Sakurai-san wipe his mouth with the table napkin.
"But now, you're stealing one day away." Sho uttered almost a whisper.
"Did you say something?" His father looked at where he was seated.
"Nothing Otousan. Wakata. I will go tomorrow." He stood. "I'm full, thanks for the food." and left the dining hall, disappointment and fury written all over his face.
"Dear, give him a break. Couldn't you talk about it after dinner? Your son had barely touched his food." Yuko tell off her husband.
"Sho is no longer a child dear, he could take care of himself. If he starved, then he could just buy himself something to eat." Sakurai-san told her wife.
"But isn't that how you're treating him dear? He's not a child, but you're forcing him to find himself a lady tomorrow," Yuko argued.
"That's my decision and we're not discussing that matter anymore." He said with finality.
++++++++++++++++
"Sakurai Sho?" Shi folded her arms seeing her uninvited guest. She glanced at the wall clock, its almost midnight. "What are you doing here at this hour?"
"I came to apologize," Sho answered in a husky voice, his sight unfocused.
"Wait, are you sure you want to apologize, sheesh, more so in a drunken state?" Shi asked sarcastically seeing Sho's composure. The guy could barely stand.
"S-s-sorry," he stuttered.
"Hey.." She noticed that he was trembling and was leaning on the door post. Shi could smell a faint scent of alcohol, but it wasn't because of it why he looked so wasted, it was because he was dripping wet due to rain. Although she was still mad at him, she wasn't that bad of a person to drive Sho away.
"What were you thinking coming here in that state? You should've at least brought an umbrella!" She scolded while helping him inside. Their nearness made her heart skipped a beat but she ignored it. Her clothes were drenched right away but she still hold on to him, afraid that he would fall any minute. She was about to lead him directly onto the bathroom, but remembered that the faucet broke two days ago and since hers and the twins' room have bathroom of its own, she didn't mind calling for somebody to fix it. Now she wished she had.
"What's wrong?" Sho asked noticing that she stopped walking.
"Ah, the faucet in here broke out, so you need to use the one in my room." Shi answered absentmindedly.
"Iie, no need. I don't want to trouble you further." Sho forced himself to stand leaning his body away from her, "Just lend me some towel."
"You'll become sick if you do that." She told him worriedly.
"Better than attending that damn event." Sho muttered.
"I don't know what event you're talking about, but I certainly won't allow you to be sick, it'll bother my conscience. So please don't make me drag you upstairs." Shi said determinedly before putting a hand on his side to support him and headed towards the stairs half dragging half carrying him.
"Gomen.. I shouldn't have come here." Sho apologized, his eyes focused on each step.
"Keep it down okay? The twins might wake up." She said before opening the door to her room. She led him to the bathroom. "Could you stand? I'll just get some towel and fresh clothes. The water was warm since I was about to take a bath when you came. If its not enough, just turned on the heater okay?"
Sho nodded. "Thanks." and went in.
++++++++++++
"Eh, you couldn't tell? That was a stick figure." I replied.
"Pfft.. hahaha.." Shi suddenly burst to laughter. "Sho-chan, are you sure this is a stick figure?"
"Yes" I said proudly.
"Eh? I couldn't tell at all, you're so funny Sho-chan." She said merrily.
"Eh? Its true, see. This is you, and this is me."..
"I never expected that you still have this," Sho smiled seeing the framed drawing, commented as he sensed Shi entered the room.
"I see you're sober now." She observed before approaching him. She was carrying a tray with two cups of coffee and bread, "Coffee?"
"Thanks" Sho took one cup. He only had one glass of drink so 'drunk' was an overstatement. He just felt nauseated because of the argument with his dad, the reason why the alcohol affected his system faster. "I thought you find it very funny," he was still talking about his drawing.
"The kids love it." She answered simply. "Even when they were still babies, they used to stop crying whenever they see that, so I framed it."
"Ah I see," He said putting the frame back on the table amused at his newfound information about his kids. So they loved it huh?. "I thought you threw it away." He said instead.
"I tried, but it kept coming back to me, so in the end I wasn't able to throw it away and then the twins came, and then your drawing come in handy." Shi told him smilingly as she recalled the memories how the drawing seemed to find its way to her.
1st try: "Eh?" she was surprised to see a dog carrying a paper with its mouth.
2nd try: "Again?" this time it was carried by a street kid.
And so on and so forth, her last try was the most hilarious, because the paper was used as a paper plane, and it landed right on her feet.
"Shi? Daijoubu? You're spacing out.." Sho asked worriedly but careful not to startle her again remembering the two incidents when Shi bit him.
"Ah-h-hai. I'm fine." Shi sneezed. She was starting to feel weird at Sho's presence that her heart beat hysterically hearing his worried tone.
"Oh, you're still on your wet clothes, you'll catch a cold, please change into something dry," Sho noticed for the first time.
"Ah, I forgot!" Shi hurriedly entered the bathroom and began taking her clothes off but realize that she still hadn't got herself a change of clothes. Add the fact that she forgot the towel she had used drying her hair downstairs. In her panic, she clumsily hit the soap rack, making it drop on the floor.
"Shi?" Sho knocked. "Are you sure you're okay?"
"Um~" she was battling with herself whether to tell him or not, but cold started to creep in her that she had no choice, "Anou~ Sakurai-san, c-c-could …y-you.. g-get me s-some.. t-t-towel?" she was trembling now and she knew that Sho was aware of it.
"What?" Sho asked, he was troubled for all he heard was Shi's muffled voice but he knew that she was cold based from the pauses.
Shi opened the door slightly and repeated her words, " c-c-could …y-you.. g-get me s-some.. t-t-towel? I forgot to bring it with me."
"Wait," Footsteps were heard inside the room and after a minute, Sho came back with a towel. "Here" he stretched out his arm carrying the towel in the slightly opened door, but to his surprised he was dragged inside.
"Thanks" Shi said pulling the towel but it stunned her seeing him inside. "What the hell are you doing here Sakurai Sho?"
But Sho just stared at him, eyes widened, then she realized. Snatching the towel away from his hand, Shi hastily wrapped it around her body, her face blushing in crimson red. "Stop staring!" She snapped seeing his eyes still fixed on her.
"Hey, its not my fault." Sho gazed at her, a playful smile forming in his lips. "besides, you have nothing to hid from me, I'd seen them all remember?" he teased.
"Go out!" she pushed Sho outside and banged the door close. Her temperature's rising and hearing Sho's laughter made her blood boil.
"Being around that guy surely means trouble" Shi muttered before dipping herself into the bath. "Sh*t! I forgot to get some clothes," and sank her body deeper. She needed the warm bath to clear her head off unnecessary things.

"Are you still there?" Shi peeped around the room and saw him sleeping on her bed, with his back facing her. Good, now's my chance.. She tiptoed towards her closet and pulled an overly-sized shirt and a sweat pants. She opened the lower drawer for under garments.
"I didn't know that you'd grown to have such amazing body Shi."
Shi nearly jumped on her feet hearing his voice. "I-I-I t-h-ought you're asleep?" Why am I stammering? She thought before turning around only to get face to face with him. "Hey, back off Sakurai-sa" but Sho kissed her before she could complete her sentence. "You're out of your mind Saku-" he kissed her again making her took a step backward until her back was against her closet door. "I didn't know that idols always do that, you're really something Sa-" Sho conquered her lips again, his tongue forced its way to open her mouth, his hands pinned her hands to keep her from resisting. "Stop.."
"I'll stop if you stop calling me by my last name," Sho smirked and continued playing with her lips.
Shi's defenses were loosening but she's afraid that if she let him be, she'll end up hurting again.
"Please stop it Sho.." Shi finally managed to say when Sho paused to breathe in some air. She too can barely breathe.
"You're a one nice girl Shi," Sho finally let her go, desire written on his face. "and a good follower too, remember to always call me Sho, or I'll do more than that if you stubbornly kept on calling me Sakurai." He turned his back on her.
"Don't be too cheeky Sho," She said but dare not call him 'Sakurai' afraid that Sho meant his words.
"Try me Shi." Sho chuckled making Shi wanted to hit him. She formed her fist into a ball but before she could able to do so, she tripped on one of her foot, worse, she landed right on Sho's back making him fall face flat onto the carpeted floor.
"Gomennasai" Shi struggled to get herself off him, and sat on her knee against the floor.. Sho lay flatly on the floor that she, although in a sitting position, bent over to check on him.
Sho turned his body so that he was now facing her, his back against the floor and his face red because of the impact.
"Are you okay Sakurai-san?" Shi asked in an anxious tone. To her astonishment, Sho pulled her over, making her lose her balance that she fell against his chest and their faces inches apart. Shi gulped realizing what she had done.
"Didn't I tell you to call me Sho?" He leaned closer and claimed her lips. When Shi did not resist, Sho reversed their position so that he was now on top, and she against the floor, the towel used to wrap her body was a little lopsided because of the fall."And I warned you that I'll do more than kissing if you kept doing that," He stared at her before claiming her lips once more, warmth encircling his entire body.
"Besides she slapped me"
He remembered what Jun told them. He was bracing himself for that to happen, but none came. No wonder he felt happy, as much as he wanted to control his self, he couldn't now that she was responding to his kisses bit by bit. It was shyly done, and Sho doesn't need to be an expert to realize that she was still inexperienced when it comes to that matter.
Sho deepened the kiss and slowly guided her until she was accustomed on what they were doing. He kissed hungrily, she tasted sweet. Their tongues met, danced with one another until both of them gasped for breathe.
"Shi…" his hands caressed her face, his lips never leaving hers. He pulled her hands and placed it on his neck before scooping her. The towel completely fell off her body that Shi closed her eyes to hide her embarrassment. She was blushing red from the heat, and her nak3d body showing itself to him even made her blushed more.
Sho put her down gently on the bed and slowly removed his clothing."Look at me," he asked her.
When Shi opened her eyes, she'd seen completely the hunger in his eyes. Was he suppressing this all this time? She can't help but thought as she gazed directly in his eyes down his body that she couldn't help but gasped. Shi placed a hand on her mouth to keep herself from screaming, yet continued to stare in awe at his perfectly [there's no point denying that now] toned muscle, which clearly matured with those five years that had gone by. She had to swallow hard as she stared down at his member. She knew it was big but she can't remember that it was that big.
"Oh.". she groaned upon seeing his hard member. Everything seemed blurry her eyes were fixed on him that he smirked noticing how she stiffened. She was drank, he was too, IT WAS WRONG- it was what her mind had been telling yet she disregard her thought as he let his kisses burned her.
"This is seriously going to hurt.." He told her, but she ignored it as she pressed her body near him, making him moaned in excitement.
"The first time I ever laid eyes on you, I knew you'd grown into such a beauty, you were so young then Shi.." Sho muttered softly kissing her eyes, her cheeks and back on her lips. He stayed there for a while "and I am right.. so no need to be ashamed Shi … you had a body that any man would die for.." his hand travelled from her face down her jawbone to her neck, tracing every part of it, memorizing every details. Sho hesitated for a moment whether to touch her further.
"This is seriously going to hurt.." he told her, but he was a bit surprised when she pressed her body to him, that he can't help but moaned feeling the sensation that traveled freely on his body. He knew it was wrong, she was sixteen, but desire and lust were eating any reason that was left of him, and there's no point backing out. She gave him an assuring smile that totally eats away his senses. Then it happened. The worst nightmare of his life. He never wanted to hurt her, but it was inevitable. She cried endlessly while he moved as gentle as possible, but he knew it was futile. He kissed her to ease the pain, but she just kept on crying. He continued going up and down, until the crying stop, and was replaced with soft moans coming from her. That made him go on, he sped up his pace, little by little until he felt his body trembled..
Shi's hands found its ways onto his face, his now ruffled hair, and onto the back of his head until it stayed on his neck. That made him back to reality. Sho pulled himself up and began kissing her again his hands ran across her nape, on her back, and onto every exposed skin, burning her, making her weak. When his fingers found her soft spot, Shi moaned in surrender as she felt that familiar tingling sensation. Hot liquid flowed down at her center and she knew that she was ready. Every single movement that he makes, it etched in her memory. Her pain, her frustration, her anger, all kept coming back to her she began trembling that she let her tears rolled down her cheeks as Sho positioned himself on top of her, his weight on her, carefully parted her l*gs and went inside her.
She was crying and Sho could feel it. As he thrust deeper, he kissed away every tear that escaped from her eyes. "Don't cry Shi," he whispered softly while gently moving on top of her, feeling her dampness. "I won't hurt you again, I promise.."
"Sho.." she called his name, her eyes still crying.
"Shi.." he moaned before changing his pace that made Shi arched her body upward, meeting his every move, wanting and waiting, passion engulfed in her body. He angled his thrust, she arched, and both danced in fire as their body moved as one.
+++++++++++++
Shi woke up when she felt a movement beside her. Sho? Oh my! she covered her mouth to prevent herself from shouting and remembered what happened last night. She tried to move but his hand was wrapped around her, preventing her. Sho snuggled closer wounding his arm tightly when he felt her moved making it harder for Shi to get up. Tsk. She turned around and observed his sleeping face. He was smiling even in his sleep. Must have been happy She can't help but smile at the thought, but frowned when she realized that he never mentioned, even once, that he loves her or at least had loved her before. He only told her that he won't hurt her again. It could be done even without him loving you Shi .. her mind told her and she felt bitter knowing that.
"Am I that gorgeous that you couldn't take your eyes off me?" Sho smirked and propped open an eye. Shi was startled that she pretended to sleep but it made Sho teased her more. "Caught in the act Shi," he pinched her nose.
"Itte~ Don't you dare do that again Sa- I mean Sho!" She snapped before getting up, making him laughed at her near-mistake. "Hey, if you're awake, get up will you? I don't want the kids see you here." Shi raised an eyebrow.
Sho sat up, "ohayou!" and looked at the bedside clock: 7:00. They were only asleep for about 4hours. "Its only 7am Shi. Surely those two were still sleeping soundly."
"How did you know?" It amazed her that Sho knew.
"I have their schedule," Sho informed her. "Besides I also don't plan on letting them see me here."
"What do you mean?" she shot a glare.
"Oi, easy.. Don't get me wrong Shi, I mean if they see me here, you'll end up telling them that I am their father. I don't want you to be caught in a situation like that. I want to tell them myself," Sho looked at her directly.
"Ah okay~ wait! Did you say 7am?" Shi asked, panic in her voice.
"Yup. Why?" Sho was puzzled.
"Crap! My work with Jun-kun starts at 8:30!" She placed a hand on her forehead.
"Why do you seem so excited?" Sho stiffened upon hearing Jun's name.
"Baka! I'm not excited! I'm panicking okay? Mou~ dressed up will you?" Shi pulled the sheet to cover her body before she got off the bed.
"Oi choto!" Sho protested but Shi wouldn't listen. He felt his member throbbed just by seeing her naked back.
"I'm going down to prepare some breakfast," She announced without looking at him, still clutching the sheet against her body. "Don't go out until you're properly dressed okay? I dried your clothes last night so it should be okay now," and left the room, leaving Sho completely bewildered.
"Sheesh, what a scary woman," Sho sighed before forcing his self to stand and went inside the bathroom. "She should've at least let me say how I feel about what happened," he sighed again "And I haven't told her that I love her.." and let his body soaked with cold water. He certainly needed that to contain his desires that started to build up a while ago when he accidentally found out that Shi was observing him intently add the fact that just a while ago he was holding her against his skin.
+++++++++++++
"That's it. CUT!" the director called.
The filming ended without a hassle. Jun looked exhausted from the tour, but he didn't let it show, at least to others. But for someone working closely to him, Shi was amazed at how professional Jun was. Forget about that kissing incident, which ended up her slapping him, she realized how very serious the idol was when it comes to work.
"Here," she handed Jun a bottled-water.
"Thanks," Jun muttered before opening the cap and took the water in one gulp.
"Thirsty huh?" she smiled, Jun stared.
"Um, yeah.. I guess," He dropped his gaze upon remembering what he'd done. " Anou~"
"Hm?" Shi asked.
"Sorry about last week.." Jun started.
"Apology accepted." She looked at him, "Sorry about slapping you., I remembered my kids telling me that Johnny had this rule of no hitting in the face." She shrugged.
"Daijobu, that only applies to Johnny's, but since you're not, you're exempted." Jun smirked remembering what happened.
It was during their break when he had the sudden urged of kissing her. Seeing her dressed in that short skirt and netted stockings, what man would be able to resist that? He paced towards her and he knew she was shocked seeing him staring intently at her.
Without any warning, he cupped her chin and placed his mouth on top of hers. He only planned on giving her a peck but Shi tasted sweet that before he knew it, his hands found her nape and dragged her closer to him, making her dropped the script she was holding.
He thought it was okay, because she let him be. His tongue skillfully traced her lower lip while his hands were caressing her back. It was too late when it struck him that something was wrong- the reason why she wasn't moving, the reason why she let him be, and the reason why she dropped the script.
SLAP
"Sh*t" he muttered before placing a hand on his cheek. It was burning with pain.
"Do that again Matsumoto, or I'll swear,.." But she wasn't able to finish her statement when she noticed that all the staffs were watching them, with a mixture of shock, glee, and annoyance, with what had just happened, count the fact that she had just slapped an idol, worse, it was him, Matsumoto Jun.
"I'm doomed.."
"Eh? I swear I heard you curse when I slapped you, did it hurt that much?" Shi chuckled.
"Of course. The staff needed to put some ice to keep it from swelling," he answered snapping out of his reverie.
"Ah! Really sorry about that!" she bowed her head in apology.
"I told you its okay.. wait, you looked happy, something good happened?" he asked. Each time he took a glimpse of her, he always caught her smiling.
"Betsuni. I just don't want to ruin our good mood, besides you looked really tired, so I thought, we should pull things over soon, so that you could rest," Shi told him smilingly.
"Eh? Was it that obvious?" Jun looked at her troubled.
"No, I mean not for the staff, but since I'm acting alongside with you, I could tell from your eyes and your gestures. But I wonder, didn't the management give you atleast 2days break after the tour?" she asked listlessly.
"Ah sou~ but since our filming was cancelled because it overlapped with our tour, the TBS wanted us to catch right on schedule" Jun told her, but raised an eyebrow afterwards. "wait, how did you know about the routine?" he asked completely baffled.
"Ah..about that.. Sho told me.." She averted her eyes to hide her flushed face, but it only made Jun more curious.
Sho? Now they're back on first name basis..She was blushing.. and he remembered how she was in good mood So something did happen He didn't know why he felt a stabbing pain on his chest. Shikari Jun.. He slapped both his cheeks which stunned Shi.
"Hey, are you okay?" Shi stopped his hands from further hitting his face.
"Ah, sorry.. just remembered something," Jun smiled apologetically hands raised palms up.
"Don't do that again okay? You'll injure your handsome face." she told him.
"I take that as a compliment," he grinned widely, his eyes sparkling.
"There you go, that's more like you Jun-kun. Better than you're worn-out look awhile ago." Shi smiled.
"Thanks, care to have coffee with me?" Jun looked at his wristwatch. 15 minutes past 4pm.
"Ah.. sorry, I have an appointment tonight so I need to prepare, maybe next time?" she bit her lip.
"A date with Sho-kun?" Jun asked all of a sudden. When he realized what he said, it was too late.
"Eh? Iie. Iie.. news sure travel fast within you guys," Shi sighed.
"Eh? what do you mean?" Jun was confused.
"Isn't that why you asked me if it’s a date with him?" but when Jun looked clueless about it, she had no choice but to explain. "Actually, he asked me to be his date for an event, I think its about his dad celebrating his years of being a politician."
"and you refused?" Jun asked disbelief etched on his face.
"Hai.. because like what I said, I already had an appointment and my kids are coming also, so I said I can't. plus, it had the same time as the event where I'll be going." She explained.
He must be desperate or upset about something.. Jun thought. "Shi-chan, did he mentioned why he was inviting you all of a sudden?"
"Um, nope, but I remembered him mentioning something about its better to be sick than to attend that event.. although I'm not sure if he's talking about the same event.." Shi covered her mouth to stop herself from talking further.
"Then I think I know the reason why.." Jun told her.
"Why?"
+++++++++++++
I'm sorry I can't. I already have an appointment..and it had the same time.. and the twins are coming also..
Of course he was upset when Shi told him that she had other appointment. It would've been better if she comes together with him to the party to make his plans easier than to go to other events, but he can't stop himself from smiling remembering what happened between them and it was enough.
Sho stared blankly at his ceiling, 2 hours from now, it was time for his dad's party and he hated it. He dreaded that event, more than other events, because it was the time when his dad tended to be despicable and forced his ways to him. It just happened that he was the eldest so his younger brother had still years for himself before worrying on that matter.
"Sho?" his mother knocked in his door. "Are you sleeping?"
"Come in Okaasan, I'm just resting a bit," He answered before pulling himself up to sit.
Her mom entered his room, a warm smile formed in her lips. "You okay Son?" She sat at the corner of his bed, head turned to him.
"You know I'm not kaasan, not when Otousan's forcing his ways again," he replied bitterly, staring at the ceiling.
"I'm sorry Sho, you know your dad, he~" her mother smiled at him apologetically.
"I know, he just wanted the best for me. That's what you always told me, but Okaasan, did it get me any good? The last woman he paired to me, turned out to be an annoyingly pretty spoiled woman," he grimaced upon remembering the woman at the party last year.
His mother just stared at him with ears ready to listen.
"And on top of that, she made Mai looked like an idiot, and you know I hated it when Mai and Shu were involved right?" Sho asked his mother. His frustration resurfaced.
"Sorry Son, just keep up with it.. What if this time you found that woman? Then that will silence your dad." Sakurai-mama told him.
"Already found her Okaasan. I thought I already hold her heart, but she refused me. I'm afraid I will have to lose her again, because of this stupid event." Sho murmured under his breath.
"Watch your mouth Sho, the event that you hated so much, the one you called stupid, is the commemoration of your father's service- the reason why we still have food into this house." Yuko eyed her son seriously.
"Gomen Okaasan, didn't mean it that way.. I was just~" but Sho couldn't finish his statement.
"Don't worry Son, I'll be right there watching, so that I could come to your aid, when you need it," Sakurai-mama was back at her calm composure. "Now, get ready Son, dressed gorgeously, and make your Okaasan proud," She smiled.
"Arigatou Okaasan" Sho chuckled, "But I think I don't need to dress up, I'm already gorgeous you know."
"Then I wonder why that girl refused you?" his mom teased before patting his back and left the room. Sho sighed heavily when her mom was out of sight. "Now that was mean Okaasan," he muttered before readying himself.
Ouside his room, Sakurai-mama sighed. "So he already found someone whom he loved huh?" She concluded upon seeing the fire in his son's eye while mentioning the girl. "Hang in there, Sho

"His dad must've been forcing him again to find himself a woman whom he'll marry. Every year, on that same event, his dad had this notion."
That was what Jun told her. Is that the reason why he wanted me to be his date? Just to avoid his dad's wrath? Shi was in her deep thoughts while having her hair and makeup done by a first class stylist, as recommended by Mai.
"Don't think too much dear, you're creasing your face, its bad for makeup.." the stylist told her.
"Ah gomen." Shi murmured an apology before focusing on the mirror. She can't believe what she was seeing. She always do her hair and make-up, so basically, she's not used seeing herself in different light.
"You really have a beautiful face, I wonder where I have seen you? Mai-chan told me not to overdo your makeup, not that I need her to remind me ne~ because you're already pretty without make up, more so if you have it on." The stylist smiled at her through the mirror while doing some curls on her hair.
"Thanks," she smiled shyly, "It was my first time having a professional do my face."
"No doubt about that dear, you looked fresh," the stylist complimented before glancing at the wall clock. "Yosh, we better pause our chat," She said before focusing on her work again.
Shi nodded in response.

"Sakurai-san, Yuko-san, hisashiburi," The woman looked elegant despite some age lines that fashioned her face.
"Oh, hisashiburi Reiko-san," Sakurai-san greeted. "It was quite a surprise that you could come this time after standing us up for so many years."
"Ah, gomen sempai, you know that it was hard for me when Shin died," there was a hint of sadness in her eyes, "But it's really a miracle when I saw the invitation on my desk and found out that I will be in Japan at this time," Reiko replied hesitantly.
"Dear, you know very well that Reiko-san is busy with the business, how long has it been ne~15 years?" Yuko smiled apologetically.
"But she could've at least informed me that she's not coming, Shin never missed this event," Sakurai-san chuckled.
"But it was Shin-sempai whom you're friends with, Reiko has nothing to do with you," Yuko reminded her husband.
"Wakata, but still~ mou, why don't we sit first?" Sakurai-san guided his wife and Tetsuka-san in one of the guest seats.
"Dear, could we add another seat? I wasn't expecting Reiko-san to come, but I'm glad she did, so is it okay if she'll sit with us?" Sakurai-san smiled but the formality never left his tone.
"Of course dear, like you I'm glad she attended this event," Yuko smiled at Reiko before summoning one of the servers and asked for an extra seat.
Reiko looked around the table to see who will be sitting with them and couldn't help but notice four vacant seats apart from the one occupied by Sakurai siblings.
"I noticed that there were vacant seats, were you expecting few more important guests sempai?" Reiko asked.
"I am." He answered simply before turning at her daughter. "Mai, are you sure they will come?"
"Of course Otousan, I personally give the invitation, and she said yes." Mai answered, a little annoyed. If before, his dad was ignoring the twins, now he's the one who's too insistent on inviting them to the extent of asking her every minute that she wished she was a recorder so that she needed not to repeat the same words again.
Glancing at his wrist watch, "But its already 7pm," worried spread all throughout his face.
"Relax Otousan, they will definitely come," It was Shu who answered.
"And where's your son Yuko?" Sakurai-san creased his forehead noticing that Sho was missing.
"My son, who happened to be your son also, said he's on the way. He was caught with traffic." Yuko eyed her husband who returned the eye contact.
"That's why I told him to come with us dear, you have spoiled that man too much, that's why he sometimes lack breeding," Sakurai-san grunted.
"Dear, saved the reprimanding later, we have guests remember?" Yuko shook her head unbelievably.
"Are you talking about Sho?" Reiko can't help but ask.
"Hai, you know our son?" Yuko stared at her questioningly.
"Yeah, I first met him five years ago, he's friends with my daughter." Reiko told them, eyes a bit restrained. She was hoping for something but seeing her former sempai and her friend's reaction, she can't help but frown.
"Oh! I remembered you have a daughter, where is she by the way? Why isn't she with you?" Sakurai-san asked, his eyes sparkling and Yuko knew right away what her husband was thinking.
Yuko couldn't help but sigh. Her son will be paired up with an unknown person again, no offense with her friend Reiko, but since it was the first time she'd seen that light coming from Sho's eyes when they had a talk a while ago, she knew he's serious with whoever that girl is. She sighed again.
As if her daughter read what her mother was thinking, Mai blurted out loudly, "Otousan, they're here!" she said excitedly upon seeing the twins- the boy clad in tie and bow, the girl in cute black dress entered the hall, suddenly diverting her dad's attention on them. Well, it was a black and white party anyway so the twins attire were befitting. Mai waved at them, which the twins replied with a smile, turned to delight upon seeing the other guest sitting with the Sakurai family.
"Reiko-baachan!" the twins chorused and ran hurriedly to where Reiko was sitting and give her a kiss on both cheeks, unaware of the three puzzled faces that fixed their gazes on them, it was only Shu who wasn't surprised at all.
You're good Oniichan, the prediction was right.. Shu can't help but thought before rummaging his pocket for his phone and type a message with his hands under the table.
"Obaachan! Why didn't you tell us that you’re coming back here already?" Shuji asked his hands on Reiko's shoulder.
"Ne~ obaachan, that was so sneaky of you!" Shuri commented but accidentally glanced beside her to see a baffled Mai.
"Ah! Mai-onnechan, gomen ne~ I was just surprised to see my obaachan here, didn't know that you're acquainted with her," Shuri bowed and apologized.
"Iie, It was Otousan and Okaasan who knew Tetsuka-san," Mai answered politely.
"Ah sou ka~" Shuri turned around to look at the man who was sitting three seats from where she was standing. "Good evening Sir, sorry for not being able to greet you first, and sorry for the last time," Shuri bowed politely while stealing glances at her twin who stiffened upon seeing the man.
"I was the one who should be saying that Shuri-chan, I said harsh things the last time we met," Sakurai-san slightly nodded.
"Now, wait. What's happening here?" It was Reiko's time to get confused. She ushered the two kids to take their seats before turning back her attention to Sakurai-san.
"Ah, these two kids were the reason why my son, Shu, was able to recover soon. They found him unconscious on the streets and they're the ones who called the hospital.." Sakurai-san summarized the events.
"Ah, yokata ne~, I thought you'd done something wrong with them," Reiko said jokingly, but Sakurai-san felt the hair on his nape stood hearing those words. He's a politician, he's a powerful one, but no one, even someone in his position, would actually want to clash with the name Tetsuka Reiko, not in the million years.
"Tetsuka-san, mind if I asked, how are you related to them?" Mai asked courteously.
"Ah! They're my grandchildren, isn't it obvious from the way they call me?" Reiko laughed amusedly. The atmosphere was so tensed that she felt it was necessary to loosen it out.
"Then who's their mother?" Sakurai-san asked, although he knew that it was a dumb question. Now he felt guilty for all the accusations he'd told them. There's no way they could be asking money to give credit for what they did, when their grandmother is a Tetsuka, the Reiko Tetsuka from the business world.
"Eh? Of course they are my daughter's, I only have one daughter remember? What's wrong with you sempai, you're acting a bit strange," Reiko had to laugh on that.
"ah, gomen Reiko-san, we just didn't expect it, I mean, your daughter, from what I recall, she was 2 years younger than Mai.." Yuko told her, obviously covering for his husband.
"Didn't you get mad? I mean didn't you think about her having an abortion when you found out that she's pregnant?" Sakurai-san asked.
"Goodness sempai! I'm not that bad.. besides she's my only daughter, I certainly don't want my only daughter hating me. That time, she's so determined on raising the twins." Reiko told them, shocked, amazement, and hilarity written on her face.
"Ah, sorry about that..I just,,If that were to happen to Mai~..Oh God forbid," Yuko answered, concern apparent in her tone.
"So you thought, it was impossible for her to have four year old kids?" Reiko mused, "But you see, I thought so too. It was a bit complicated though because my daughter never allowed me to search for that man's whereabout.." Reiko observed their expressions. "Oh, based from that, I assumed you know that the twins' dad abandoned my daughter five years ago without realizing that she could be pregnant.. I wonder, who told you about that? My daughter never talked about it."
"We heard from Shuri," it was Mai who answered the question, "and your daughter told me." She said flatly.
"it’s a good thing my daughter found a girl friend," Reiko smiled at her.
Friend? Wait, Tetsuka-san also mentioned that her daughter was friends with Oniichan, from when? From five years ago.. Mai's thoughts were running widely.
