I'm sad to say that our Koi swam up to the great fish pond in the
sky, yesterday afternoon. In other news, my kitter- cat is on the
prowl and ferociously hunting a lizard at this very moment. *slips
into an affectionate baby- talk* Yesh, he is very scary; the most ( Read more... )

*smiles and returns your hug* Hey, Erin~ how are you and your husband doing? *gives a light, little laugh* That sounds so nice; I'm happy for you. The economy has certainly been an adventure. We are doing well overall. We thought we'd made it through the economy ups and downs, butt 2 Saturdays ago Ben received a letter from the county saying that he was being bumped down to part time from full time. No insurance now, plus 1/2 the money, and he's in a new building. He's taking it better than I thought. We shall be okay and everything will work out. We'll be a bit screwed come January when I Student Teach, but we'll make do. Hopefully he'll find another job soon. :) He's been looking anyway, but now the heat is on ( ... )

Ben is truly a great man and you're a lucky gal for having claimed his heart early on. Have you given any thought to individual health insurance or perhaps even a group plan with your local church? ( the latter had been mentioned for me, as well, but i'm lutheran and visit various places of worship out of respect to our colorful past.

Owning a house is wonderful, while watching it fall into disrepair would be heart- breaking, I'm sure. So keep your wits about you, be careful with your dollars 'n cents, and you should make it through this depression just fine.

And a puppy- dog.. really now? They're high- maintenance, need plenty of walking, and provide your home with a constant smothering of love. If that sounds like a good deal, then I wish your beloved, small breakables the very best of luck. ^^;
