Funny; I expected this to sound gloomier than it turned out.
Sifting through some college folders a few weeks ago, I found an old letter. One of mine. It was one I'd written so carefully, but never had the chance to send. I know why I held onto it. I can remember the day I tucked it into this beat-up old Star Wars folder. I always kept thinking

I miss the heyday of forums. Forums are still my preferred social media sites. That's probably why I'm still on FFO/S, because there's just not a community still around quite like that one. When I started posting on forums I felt like I could actually get to know people. And I have! You guys will forever be a part of my life. Unlike Facebook and other social sites in which it only seems to be for people you know that I don't really care to talk to unless it's on Facebook. Like say people from high school who never talked to you while you were in high school, but want to be your friend now? Pfffffffffft.
But, yeah, please keep in touch! Even if it's just sporadic updates on LJ. :)

Letting things go, decisively, is much healthier than just letting it drop off, as I have. I haven't made a decision like that regarding the forums, mostly because I don't WANT to let them go, but I fear time will make that decision for me unless I act otherwise.
Regardless, please do still keep in touch--you are one of my most awesome friends, even though we don't get to talk as often as we used to!
