Decisions

Okay, I did my usual impulsive purchase thing and bought a PS3. I was researching them a bit when I found a 60gig model selling for $449 at The Source. I was actually on my way to my uncles to borrow his PS3 to test it out when I went to the mall, but I decided to buy it since it was the last one they had (and it was $30 bucks cheaper than ( Read more... )

It would be cheaper for you to buy your own than to fly out here, by far.

Yeah, I saw that in the store. But seeing as I have a PS2 that is less than 2 years old, I probably don't need to buy it again in white :-D

Let me know what you think of Sing Star. I'm not sure how I feel since it's just music videos in the background, and as I said, scrolling text looks like shit on my TV.

And don't get me going on my Blue Ray rant. I call it the Sony Beta of the new millenium.

I'd say that after a year of battle, neither format has much of an edge in terms of title available. Definately too early to jump into the game even though the HD picture is prudy...

My boyfriend got a PS3 a few months ago, specifically to get the 60GB version before it disappeared. I don't think he has quite as many specialized accessories as you, and he'd rather just pack his PS2 away.

There is a huge lack of decent games for it right now, but there's lots of demos to play. So far, Ratchet & Clank is about the only thing of interest for it.

I don't plan on having a PS3 myself for quite a while yet. Maybe when the next Final Fantasy comes out.

If I only had to use the included remote, I would probably just go with it despite it not making older games look any better. But since it looks like I'll be stuck keeping my PS2, there is no hurry to rush in the 3rd gen-land.

The PS2 is still outselling the other consoles. I can't remember the exact numbers, but I know for sure it is outselling the PS3, and the XBox 360. I think it might be outselling the Wii as well.

In other words, there are probably going to be lots of PS2 games for a long time.

I haven't seen any games that peak my interest either....except a couple of the downloadable ones that may be interesting but they aren't out yet either :(

Little Big Planet looks like a fun multiplayer game.

and Pain might be fun but I'm sure it'll lose it's appeal pretty quick
