Actually, he did play freedom fighters in Europe :) He plays it every year in Germany because it's so popular! They requested it in Bonn, but he promised he'd play it the next time, ever since people have been requesting it ever year in Hamburg and Cologne and he played it! Sorta haha... ("What's up with you and fucking freedom fighters? >>;")
But yeah I totally know what you mean! It's just that mindset! Even if you spent the last few weeks just traveling and sleeping at trainstations/airports/streets and going to shows, it's like, fuck it, I'll be tired when all this is over. I can be completely dead before a show but when it's time to go back in you just instantly come back to life :D
And so it's the same there? The crowd changing I mean. I mean in 2009 most people were franticaly trying to touch Miyavi, but this year everyone was just chill, dancing, enjoying the music. Even in Cologne I didn't get pushed at all... I like it~!
Ah there are still crazy crowds, it happens, but I do think that people are changing. I know Miyavi is, and it's really really neat.
Portland was pushy but I saw a lot of new faces so that might have had something to do with it. Seattle was totally like "yay MYV!" and not pushy at all.
Hey there! If you don't mind, I'm going to link to your journal on my Miyavi community here on LJ, miyavi_tayori so more people can read your concert reviews. If you don't want me to just let me know. Thank you for sharing your experience!
