I loved this. From Saeki's annoyance about being the mediator between the Fuji-Mizuki-Fuji situation, and the hatred for Higa, and the light, sorta friendly relationship between Saeki and Sanada. I love the line here: "There was a growl in Sanada’s voice as he stood tall and imposing, hoping to intimidate the other man for once. Of course, it didn’t work at all", because of course Saeki isn't intimidated by that! And then the scene in the baths was very sensual. Though darn Renji for interrupting! I was looking forward to the rest of it.

I also find this universe fascinating, especially the little details about the Emperor, the divisions and the fact that they wear western uniforms despite serving the Japanese Emperor. I would love to know more about this universe.

Though your Saeki is very distinctive. I am pretty sure I know who you are :D
