Ah, fannish ennui, how I've missed you...

Apart from various and assorted personal happenings keeping me off the internets, there's other stuff, too. I'm not feeling the love no more. This, I'm sure, will pass eventually. (And when I say "not feeling the love," what I actually mean is it seems that people are spitting bile at each other again. Maybe I'm having perceptual difficulties ( Read more... )

I don't know, the credits were rolling, he was sitting on a bale of hay shouting a song about a pig in a blanket. I don't actually WANT to know, though Beckett wanted to know why Captain Jack was shouting with what Beckett innocently calls a "cuntar."

I googled it. It's a kids show called Animals at Work. Which he presents. It apparently involves him also doing bad singing.

I need to start watching Glee again. I saw it at Comic-Con and there are other shows on that I watch when it's on, lol.

But yes Glee is good.

You know I agree part of me hopes that TW is done, but a teeny tiny part of me wants to see what bull shit they can pull out of their asses for a new season.

I'm not sure if there would have been a renewal announced yet just b/c I'm sure they are waiting to capitalize on some big moments in DW to announce it.

The reason I don't think there's a big Torchwood announcement on the cards is because I get the feeling that any big moments to come in Who will from now on be Moffat moments, I think the Beeb will actively start to sideline Russell when it comes to Who, they've already announced a new logo and all the rest of it, I don't think they'll be wanting to pull the attention back towards RTD in any way. That's just a gut feeling I have.

I agree. Do you know if RTD is working on anything right now besides the last 2 Dr. Who specials(beyond his claim to be able to write new stories in a nanosecond)?

I can't help but wondering if the BBC finally got smart and told him to STFU about TW if they want any chance of reviving it.

But like you, I'm not interested where the story would go. Benn there, done that.

The two specials are done and dusted, months ago. They're well into filming series 5. So yeah, RTD hasn't got anything on his plate unless he and Julie persuade the BBC to let them carry on with TW from California.

LOL. Yeah, SPN not my thing either. I have been meaning to start on Glee.

As for TW, I wouldn't say I'm divorcing myself, but, well, the enthusiasm is a bit...well, you know.

Glad M is doing better, btw.

Glee's fun. It's stupid as fuck, but fun and I've missed TW-S1-style fun on my telly. I don't really want that much else from a show.

I've seen some of that with Torchwood, but on the other hand, I just came into the fandom less than a year ago, and I'm not finished, dammit. :D

Are you excited about the new Doctor Who series, tencrush? Or just... "eh, whatever" about it?

I'm excited about Moffat's series, yes, I think it'll be great. But I have to endure Rusty's grand finale first and the idea of that makes me want to puke.

Yeah...

This too shall pass! I'm actually getting excited about Eleven and Amy, and I didn't think I would.
