sounds like a wonderful show! i'm glad they finally made it back to Japan; let's hope it doesn't take them another 23 years to play there again!
i love the drawings and commentary! that story about Simon and calling his name is adorable. 'aggresively cute' - i love that phrase! it suits him very well.
Yes, It was a really amazing show!!! The show made me love them even more! And...oh, 23 years later... I can not wait them for so long!! >_< I want them to come again to Japan as soon as possible.
I'm happy to hear that you love the doodles! At that time, Simon was truly 'aggressively cute'... I wish that you were there!! T_T
yay!!! but to be honest, the crowd at fuji rock was pretty irritating, i thought. i don't know what it looked like from robert's viewpoint, but it looked to me like he really wanted to get out of there by the end. he was far more interactive and into it in new zealand. you're clearly a dedicated fan and an exception... so maybe it was just the people around me (and i was right at the front at that, so you'd think there'd be hardcore fans around me) but i got the impression that most of the people there had no idea who the cure were or didn't understand or get into any of their songs EXCEPT the popular generic "friday i'm in love". did you notice how they suddenly went wild for that? there were even girls right at the front against the barricade idly brushing their hair during the show for fucks sake! sigh. i don't blame him for skipping japan for twenty years.

I can't wait to see them, when they go on tour in North America this fall. I will see them in Toronto, my home town!
