I think my ex was a sex addict and really? No amount of rehab could have cured him. If D really does have a problem then more power to him for getting it sorted. But yeah, I do tend to be suspicious of things that come out of People.

problem is they quoted his lawyer, so I'm not suspicious of the magazine itself but DD making his declaration to PEOPLE. You don't do it unless something is up.

If sex addiction could be cured, we'd send tons of people there, not only people with small problems like David's but paedophiles and rapists...So I'm still not convinced it can be cured.

I'm not sure that paedophiles and rapists could be classed as sex addicts. Rape isn't about sex, it's about power. And I think that paedophilia is another barrel of fish altogether.

It's not their only trouble, but it's behaviour related to sex nonetheless. But you're right, it's lots more complicated than this.
