[important post] Applications
The app templates are finally done! Feel free to start writing, guys.
At this time, we would really like captains and dragons. We can't get anything done without them.
Our tentative character limits are as follows:
[1] Captain
[1] Dragon
[2] Crew Members and
[2] Civilians (which you won't be able to app until later)
per member.
Application Guidelines:
Human
Name: (Full name, please, and keep it relative to the time period.)
Age: (Low-level positions such as cadets are usually around 10-15 years old, and captains are at least in their twenties. Other ranks are somewhere in between. However, these are guidelines, not requirements. A thirty-year old lieutenant is perfectly fine.)
Gender: (lol)
Alliance: (North or South? I suppose you could have a foreign neutral character, but it might be tricky to play.)
Rank/Position: (Use this as a reference if necessary.)
Appearance: (At least a paragraph, please, and by that I mean at least 6 sentences.)
PB: (Which actor/actress you will be using to portray your character in icons etc. The community hollow_art is very helpful for this.)
Personality: (6-8 sentences AT LEAST. We'd prefer this to be a couple paragraphs. The more detailed, the better.)
Strengths: (A brief summary of your character’s strengths. These should include physical traits, such as good coordination, and mental ones, such as a strong ability to plan ahead. 4 sentence minimum.)
Weaknesses (Like Strengths, this section should include physical and mental weaknesses. Be reasonable-“she’s so beautiful that everyone hates her and her life is tragic” is not an acceptable weakness-and balance them to the strengths. You can have a huge list of strengths as long as you have an equal number of weaknesses. Also, this has a 4 sentence minimum.)
History: (What their life growing up was like, why they chose to enlist in the Corps/how they ended up enlisted. Anything you can think of. 6-8 sentence minimum, please.)
Relationships: (Family members? Friends? Love interests? These don’t need to be characters in the roleplay.)
Dragon
Name: (There aren’t too many restrictions, but keep it relative to the time period. There will be no Super Death Harry Potter Shadow Night Crimson Flower 8000s, please. Also keep in mind that it is somewhat traditional to give a dragon a Latin name. If you need help finding a Latin name, contact Rea [contacts are on the liberty_flight profile] and she’ll help you out.)
Gender: (obvious?)
Breed: (Look through the breed post if you’re unsure. You’re allowed to play foreign breeds-such as the Parnassian, which is British and French-as long as you recognize that this is rather uncommon.)
Alliance: (North or South? I suppose you could have a foreign neutral character, but it might be tricky to play.)
Personality: (Please refer to the breed post before writing this up; your dragon must stick loosely to its breed’s temperament. There won’t be any irritable Regal Coppers or lazy Anglewings. However, it would be boring if every dragon of a breed was the same, so a quirk or two would be nice? Please be as detailed as possible. 6-8 sentences is good.)
Strengths: (Physical and mental, please. Just like a human’s. 4 sentence minimum.)
Weaknesses: (Also physical and mental. Balance them to the strengths. If your dragon has a godly amount of strengths, it must have the same number of weaknesses. They don't need to be THE EXACT SAME NUMBER, but you get the idea. 4 sentence minimum.)
History: (Where was he/she hatched? How did they meet their captain? Have they participated in battles? How old are they? I realize that some of these may be difficult without realizing who your captain is; if you want, leave this part blank and fill it out once I find you a captain, but BE SURE TO PUT A NOTE IN THAT YOU ARE DOING THIS. Once finished, it should be at least 6-8 sentences.)
Please put at least a little effort into this, guys. If your application is one huge paragraph, all bold, and a size 32 blue font, we won't take you very seriously.
