I am so bummed that I didn't get to this book! I have been wanting to read it for some time and thought calico's book club would be a perfect time to read it! I still plan on reading it later.

Loved your review. I'll be sure to keep the aspects that you mentioned in mind when I read it. I think they'll bother me a bit as well.

Oh wow! Cool to hear your thoughts on an audiobook version! I look forward to your reviews of the future books.

I'm glad I finished reading this today, btw. All these reviews are popping up now!

Like many young adult releases these days, it's a dystopia, although at first it doesn't really feel like one.

YES.

Another pet peeve of mine is when so much tension is based on delayed information.

Yeah. I've seen worse offenders (the manga artists CLAMP are the worst), but it got on my nerves after a while.

I'm looking forward to reading the sequels too :)
