I really enjoyed this book. So much that when I couldn't get my hands on the series right away, I just went ahead and read the spoilers on Wikipedia! How bad is that? Which means that I've got PRETTIES sitting on my shelf patiently, but I'm in no rush to read. Shame on me...

Eek! I've never gotten to the point where I've read spoilers off of wikipedia. I'm not a spoilers fans at all! The closest I've done to that is read over spoilers of books I've read if I need to refresh my memory for a movie or sequel (actually. It happens more than I'd like to admit).

Nice review! I liked how you pointed out the scene where Tally looks at the magazines and is shocked at how ugly we all are. I found that to be very telling as models these days often don't even look completely human any more, thanks to Photoshop (no pores, no stray hairs). It made me really curious about what the Pretties really look like. I know they want to make a movie out of it. I'm curious to see how they'll tackle the physical perfection Pretties are supposed to have.

I'm not a spoiler fan either, but sometimes, it's that or dropping everything I'm doing and driving 45 minutes to the nearest bookstore to spend money. :)

45 minutes to the nearest bookstore? That's crazy!
