2010 New Genre Challenge

Jan 01, 2010 09:43

Unlike, the other challenges I'm taking part in, this is just something I created myself. After seeing that my reading was kinda limited to fantasy, paranormal, and more fantasy, I decided to create a challenge to fill some of the holes in my reading ciriculum. The sci-fi challenge will cover that genre, but here are four genres I need to visit a little more. In order to fulfill the challenge, I need to read four books from the four genres.

Here we go!

Mystery (non-fantasy/paranormal)
1. A Study in Scarlet by Arthur Conan Doyle ( my review- 01/25/10)
2.
3.
4.

Memoir/Biography
1. No Backup by Rosemary Dew ( my review- 01/15/10)
2. Houdini: The Handcuff King by Jason Lutes (read for a class- reviewed on goodreads)
3. Listen to the Wind: The Story of Dr Greg and 3 cups of Tea (read for a class- reviewed on goodreads)
4. Saladin: Noble Prince of Islam by Diane Stanley (read for a class- reviewed on goodreads)

3. Information Design Desk Reference by Christine Sevilla ( my review- 03/08/10)
