I've actually not heard good things about this. I'll be holding off on Carey's later work unless I hear seriously wonderful praise. I've got to get through the Kushiel books, anyway!

Most of the reviews I've read on goodreads and amazon have been positive, so I was a little confused at how well I didn't connect to this one. It didn't change how I felt about it, but baffled me a bit.

Oh and the Kushiel books are all fantastic. Oh to be naive and eighteen and reading those books for the first time again! It was quite an eye opening experience.

See, all the book bloggers I've seen haven't been kind to this book at all. Who knows. Don't feel bad for not loving it, though. :)
