I've been curious about this, but not enough to get it since I still have the final volume of her Mercy Falls Wolves or whatever the trilogy is called sitting in my TBR. I like her prose, though, as a general rule.
Oddly for me, this is a book that I wasn't too crazy about when I first read it, but when I let it sit in my brain and let it stew for awhile I became a lot more fond of it. Still far from perfect, but I think I'll be reading the sequels too.
The person who first recommended this book to me said it was one of the best she's ever read, and I know a lot of reviewers have thought about it almost as highly. I agree with you that it's far from perfect, but still good.
