By the way, I'm planning on making some changes on this blog next month. Is it necessary to read them in order? I've been quite fascinated by your reviews and only just discovered my library system seems to have quite a few titles in the series. I've put on order for #1

Edit: checking Wiki and library catalogue looks like I am ok up to Vol 9.

To answer you're question, although this particular volume can be read at any point (as it's a prequel), from what I've read so far I'd certainly read the rest of the series in order.
