I keep meaning to read Dessen's work and your reviews have made me hopeful that I'll like them. :D

I have heard that Dessen's books are repetitive though in that they all have a similar formula, but that they're written well enough that most people are able to look past it.

That's been my experience so far. The only book of hers that I haven't been able to connect well with was Dreamland. Admittedly, I read it about ten years ago so I can't quite remember WHY I didn't like it, just that I didn't like it.
