Sometimes I'm tempted to try out Briggs' earlier stuff, but I've been so soured on her latest stuff (though I did not actually read RIVER MARKED) that I don't want to bother with anything at all. :-/

Yeah, if you're not so much into the later stuff, then perhaps her more traditional fantasy won't suit you either.

But if you ever decide to give it I try, I would advise you to stay away from The Hob's Bargain. That book did not work well with me at all.
