On Musings of Twilight...

Ok, so I've got a confession to make.

I've been addicted to the Twilight Saga lately. I've read all four books in the space of about three or four days, and if that wasn't bad enough, I've also rented (and then purchased) the movie and read my favorite parts of the books four or five times. It's actually been driving ainyan crazy, because I actually ( Read more... )

Vampires that sparkle in the sun should only do so as a precurser to BURSTING INTO FLAMES. u.u Sparkly Shiney Whiny Vamps FTL! Now go get a copy of Dracula and GO TO YOUR ROOM! >_> Or at least go watch The Lost Boys. u.u

XD I know, I know. I actually LIKE that vamps are supposed to burst into flame at the sun.

And thank you...you've reminded me that my wife wants to get a certain movie on DVD - We just have the VHS copy, and it is one of her favorite films of all time.

*sigh*

To be fair, I like it too, but more because the sheer EMOness of the whole thing makes me giggle every time I read it.

That and it helps to remember that my personal RL tangle could be so much worse if we were all so much less mature about it.

But yeah. His obsession is about to make me buy out a bookstore and start burning.

I've enjoyed reading the series just because I wanted to see what the fuss is all about. IMO, the series went downhill after the first book, not drastically, but consistently. The overall story was still interesting enough for me to keep reading it, but I was disappointed by the later books.

I was meh about the movie - I liked it, but I didn't think Robert Pattison did a great job of being Edward. He was... OK. >.>; Nothing spectacular. I /did/ like Kristen Stewart as Bella, though. I thought she brought the right amount of teenage angst and quirkiness of personality to the character that it kept me interested in the movie. :)

New Moon should be interesting... :D

*gets a cylinder of sparkles from Staples and sprinkles them on top of Mel... XD

You know, the more I think about it, I think Kristen Stewart could possibly be another Kate Beckinsale - At least as far as movies that are...set in non-modern time periods. Something about Stewart reminds me of Beckinsale.

To be fair, I did try reading the first book... and fell asleep halfway through with no burning desire to pick it up again. Just wasn't for me I guess, and I /like/ vampire books normally.

...the nonsparkly kind. :P
