I just have to get through the rest of today, and I have all next week off for vacation. With Monday the 5th being a holiday for Independence Day, that makes 10 glorious days away from this place!

For a week or 2 after Bubba was fired, things were great. The broadcaster didn't have anything else lined up so there was no choice but to actually play music. But it didn't take long to schedule a new morning show, and now things are back to the same old crap.

I hadn't realized just how high my on-the-job stress level is until today. In a much-needed effort to improve network performance, the IS department made some drastic changes to the network topology which resulted in the servers I need for my work to be practically unusable due to timeouts and general slowness. I just picked up a JVC GR-D30 Mini-DV camcorder kit from Sam's Club. It includes the camera, battery, AC adapter and appropriate cables plus a carry bag, blank tape and a tripod.
