you did an excellent job on /report, and may I just gush a bit about your stellar intro to GK? you provided an amazing show/fandom overview in a very short amount of time!

Thank you so much, love! I haven't heard it yet, so hopefully it won't make me feel awkward. :) But I'm especially thrilled that you liked my fandom safari! It's to those who know and love it (as I so know you do) that I wanted it to shine, so thank you for telling me so. <3

See, this exactly the kind of post I needed. I was actually introduced to comics by the first X-men movie when I was a preteen, but after I'd read everything that the local library system had on file (a lot of which was crap, but still fed my interest) I never had the resources or the funds to find more.

I bought Watchmen at the local big chain bookstore, and I'm working towards buying the entire Fables collection because the library only had like the first three issues and that was *not enough*. I've been meaning to try and find The Authority for a while now, but I just had no idea where to look.

So in a nutshell, what I really mean is THANK YOU SO MUCH, YOU ARE AN ANGEL.

Yay! That's wonderful. I hope it proves a useful resource. Amazon tends to sell the trades pretty reasonably, for what it's worth. Enjoy!

The Nolan Batman films are based almost entirely on Batman: Year One and The Long Halloween.

ETA: Also, the DCU animated series are 10000x bettr than any of the live-action. Personally, I cannot recommend Batman, Batman Beyond, Justice League Unlimited and New Frontier enough.

I'm a big fan of Batman Beyond, myself. It's a great title.
