LOL. I almost bought those flannel ones last week, when I was looking for a good, sturdy (but comfortable) boot for the show, since my favorites sprouted a crack in the sole. Ended up with a basic black just to replace my old ones but also, I figured, I have flannel everywhere else, I don't need it on the *outside* of my boots, too. They are kinda cute though.

Ha! Great minds, and all that. I like them because they're clearly functional (I'd have to check out the stitching but they look firm) but can convert into the industrial-chic I like so much. And I like the flannel!

I'm so excited to come up there and see FF! And to hang out! I'm going to that the 7/8 off work, so I can get up there earlier if you wanted to get dinner before the show?

Dinner sounds awesome. I can't say "let's do it" for sure yet because I haven't got my babysitting ducks in a row just yet (my usual suspect has bummed off to Italy for a month, the hussy). So I don't know exactly what time I'll be able to get away just yet. But I'll work on it, and I should know in the next couple of days here. :)

I am super psyched. Everyone I keep gushing to is all jealous. Also, the tickets came in the mail soooo... *does a little dance*.

No problem! You still have my number, yeah? I'll probably head up there around noon from PDX to (hopefully) avoid the afternoon commuter traffic, so I should be around in the afternoon. I'll be driving, so I'll be mobile.

I am SO EXCITED, I may get verklempt when we see them. And it's smack in the middle of MusicFest Northwest here, which will take up a bunch of my time too.

Those boots are FANTASTIC! I also want a pair. I currently own & love a very similar style in an oxford, but boots are just so much cooler.

Aside from the whole Inception thing, that's precisely why I like them! You get the look of the classic brogue, but in a sturdier boot! It's two good things mashed together.
