This is me, after reading this story. Well, OK, it's Tom Hardy, as we know, but still...

What a lovely way this was, to spend a few otherwise horrifically busy days. I was interrupted and thwarted at every turn, I swear, but it was always so nice when I could come back to it.

I don't watch H50, and whatever barebones knowledge I had about the series came from the 80's version, but this read compellingly real to me. I know you said it was "just an excuse to get Arthur into a wetsuit" but it's so much more than that.

I love how Eames is a thorough fish out of water throughout this, and how he manages not to mind that one bit. I love how Arthur, once he decides to let him into his world, is every bit as welcoming and encouraging as you'd hope for him to be. Really, I just love this whole story to bits.

Thank you. This all just made me smile, thank you for sharing it :)

despite knowing only a titch about Inception I loved the hell out of this - you created a lovely relationship between Arthur and Eames, and I really liked seeing how Arthur fit into the McGarrett family.

what a terrific way to spend some 'work' time *g*

You only need to know a tetch of Inception to get into this--Inception itself only offers bare characterizations of most of the main cast! So Hawaii 5-0 fills in a lot of the blanks. :)

I'm glad you enjoyed it.

I had a blast reading it!

after commenting, I realized that I'd meant to express my glee at this exchange:

Danny stared at him for a moment, head cocked. "So no commitment ceremony for you two then," he said wryly.

"Not unless we wore matching tac vests and exchanged our favorite grenade launchers, no," Eames said ruefully, truthfully.

And their follow-up discussion of the respective merits of M203 and
Vampir launchers filled me so so much glee

It's possible I might have ~opinions about grenade launchers.

Thanks, Generation Kill fandom!

Lovely crossover fic of two of my favorite fandoms. Excellent character development of characters all around; enjoyed how you focused on relationships, with the case plot as a filler. Hope you'll consider a sequel, as I can only imagine what it would be like for Arthur to meet One Two and the rest of the gang! Kudos. *g*

Of course, I'd really just love to see Arthur and Archie face off as to who's more bad ass in a suit - plus the potential of a jealous Arthur when you throw in One Two!

Thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed it.

Dude, One Two would be waaaaaaaaaay more jealous of Arthur than Arthur of One Two! Arthur actually has Eames; One Two barely knew where to put his hands. :)

Valid point! That dancing scene just killed me. *g* having One Two as the jealous one and Arthur being all cool and bamf (while Eames is oblivious to / confused by the testosterone-fueled one-upmanship) would be hilarious. I <3 Arthur, whether he be in wet suit or dress suit!

This was lovely. Truly, truly wonderful. In fact, you've done such a great job that I'm pretty sure there will always be a little part of me that believes this IS Arthur's background and life and story.

Added to the fact that I've yet to see an episode of Hawaii Five-0 and you've really done your job fantastically well. Thank you.
