I must say, that is the prettiest bloody fish head I've ever seen.

sometimes I wonder what inspires tattoos... The fish head is one of those times. It is quite lovely though. Nicely done.

Death is awesome, and so are your other ones. Lovely as always :)

Honestly, Julie, I just went fishing earlier this year and as I was gutting the fish I just became enamored with how the fish heads looked. I thought it would be cool to do an image of a fish head with the blood turning into filigree. I could have just painted it (and I probably will get around to a painting), but being a tattooist, I was on the lookout for anyone who would like such a thing.
I could get deeper than that if someone were to look for meaning within the image, but often I find with my work that comes later, in the process of creating the image rather than the conception of the image. I tend to think too much time spent in the conception phase turns out something that looks contrived.
Thank you though :)

LOL, that's a good enough reason as any :) I don't need deeper meaning. I was just wondered what inspired it. It is really cool :) Just... a little odd, but then many things we do in life are odd from putting holes in tender parts of our bodies to chasing cows on horses...

And I can understand what you mean about too much time spent in the conception phase. I feel that way with writing too, at least for me. The one story I fully (hahah, yeah... anyway...) outlined before I started writing, didn't feel so good writing until I ran out of outline and all of a sudden a whole new part of the store unfolded... and it's so much better than the first bit.
